Dionne Warwick calls Whitney ‘the little girl I never had’; and Bobbi K. didn’t get everything
R&B legend Dionne Warwick was a guest on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ this morning. Speaking to GMA host Robin Roberts, Warwick said her cousin, the late singer Whitney Houston “basically was the little girl I never had.”
Warwick, 71, said she spoke with Whitney the day she died, and that Whitney was in a good mood as she prepared to host the pre-Grammy party held annually by recording honcho Clive Davis.
“She had everything in the world to live for,” said Warwick. “She had a new film, that was an absolute dream to make and do, and completed that, thank God. She was getting ready to go back into the studio to record, she was getting her vocals together.
“It’s very surreal,” Warwick said. “It hasn’t really sunk in yet … I have not had an opportunity to really mourn or completely break down, which I will do, I know that.”
In her last Will and Testament, Whitney left all of her “tangible property” including furniture, cars, jewelry, clothing and shoes to her “surviving children,” — Bobbi Kristina.
Kim Kardashian’s ex: Our wedding guests should get their damn gifts back!

The Internet is buzzing about Kim Kardashian’s generous $200,000 “donation” to charity, which is supposedly double the value of the wedding gifts she received.
But anyone who runs a business knows that charitable donations can be deducted from your income tax. So she really didn’t lose a penny.
Kardashian’s soon-to-be ex-husband, NBA star Kris Humphries, says Kim’s charitable donation is not good enough. He thinks she should give the gifts back too. Humphries was duped by Kim into marrying her for a made-for-TV wedding. The marriage ended 72 days later — after the taping of her reality show wrapped.
Funeral home owner says she knows who took the Whitney Houston casket photo

Funeral home owner Carolyn Whigham says she knows who took the photo of the late singer Whitney Houston that was displayed on the cover of the National Enquirer. But, she says, it’s up to Houston’s family members to reveal the name, reports The Star Ledger.
The photo showed Houston wearing a purple dress and resting in an open casket. It ran under the headline “Whitney: The Last Photo!” The issues captions declared Whitney was buried in $500,000 worth of her favorite jewels. The gossip rag sold out quickly, and some say the photo may have earned the photographer a quick $500K.
Whigham, who has known the Houston family for decades, held a press conference on Thursday in Newark, NJ, to clear her name.
“I want to clear my name and my funeral home,” said Whigham, who said she had received dozens of threatening emails and was also spit on following what Slaughter called “false and unsubstantiated rumors.”
“The Whigham Funeral Home is not responsible and had no role in this shameful betrayal,” said the Rev. Jethro James, pastor of Paradise Baptist Church.
Whigham was the flamboyant figure, in gold jacket and white pants, seen directing Whitney’s opulent funeral in the live video feed from New Hope Baptist Church on Feb. 18.
Michael Jordan puts Chicago mansion on the market for $29M; downsizes to smaller home

Former NBA superstar Michael Jordan is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. But prior to proposing to his longtime girlfriend, Yvette Prieto, in December, the couple moved out of his 32,000 square foot Chicago mansion, and into a modest 2,600 sq ft house in a suburb of Miami.
According to the Huffington Post, the asking price for Jordan’s Chicago mansion is $29 million. The 32,683 square foot house is being sold fully-furnished, including the customized gate with the Chicago Bulls star’s former number, 23.
The contemporary 2-story house, which was built in 1995, contains nine bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms and 4 half baths. (And of course, a full basketball court.) It boasts an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor tennis court and a driving range and putting greens for those golf enthusiasts among you.
If you’re interested in purchasing Jordan’s former home, you can contact the listing agents Baird & Warner, but you must be pre-qualified for a $29 million dollar loan before you can take a tour of the home.
Meryl Streep makes donations to Viola Davis’ charities

Actress Meryl Streep pulled an upset win over “The Help” star Viola Davis when she took home the Oscar for her role in “The Iron Lady,” at this year’s Academy Awards.
As a small consolation, Streep donated $20,000 in cash to 2 of Davis’ favorite charities.
According to the Chicago Tribune:
The Oscar winner wrote a check for $10,000 to Upward Bound to honor Davis, the program’s director Mariam Z. Boyajian confirmed to TheWrap.
Boyajian said it was the largest donation in the organization’s history.
“I was writing to her when you called,” Boyajian told TheWrap. “I wanted to give her a chance to settle down from the hectic weekend before I gave her the good news.”
Streep followed up that donation with a separate $10,000 check to Segue Institute for Learning, according to the Providence Journal.
Both Davis and her sister Dolores Davis Grant attended Upward Bound, a federally funded program that prepares low-income high school students for college.

Tyler Perry’s ‘Good Deeds’ Takes #2 Spot At Box Office
Director/playwright Tyler Perry’s latest movie ‘Good Deeds‘ soared to #2 behind ‘Act of Valor‘ at the box office this weekend. ‘Good Deeds’ earned a respectable $15,583,924 on 2,132 screens, while ‘Act of Valor‘ brought in $24,476,632 — on ? more screens than ‘Deeds’ was shown on.
‘Good Deeds‘ is about an anal-retentive, wealthy businessman, Wesley Deeds (Perry), trying to ‘save’ an exotic, LSLH cleaning woman (Thandie Newton) who works for his computer software firm.
Wesley Deeds is a hard-working, compassionate man who looks out for his narcissistic brother, Walter (Brian White), despite the fact that Walter sabotages his every move.
Deeds is so attentive to details that his daily routine can easily be predicted by his live-in fiancee, Natalie (Gabrielle Union).
Union turns in a wonderful performance as the understanding, submissive girlfriend who makes breakfast for her man every morning, while allowing him to go about his day without “checking in” with her (because she trusts him not to break from his routine). The warm, beautiful Natalie is every black man’s dream.

Writer Offers $1,000 To Beat Chris Brown Up

According to Huffington Post, a writer is so incensed that Rihanna went back to Chris Brown — he is offering $1,000 to anyone who inflicts serious bodily harm on Brown.
From HuffPo:
Violence never solves anything, but that didn’t stop a writer named Kevin Seccia, from offering a $1,000 prize to the first person who beats up Chris Brown.
In a blog post, Seccia wrote that Brown “is a horrible human being,” and argues that he doesn’t even pretend to be sorry for “brutally assaulting and threatening to kill a woman,” and shows no awareness of what he’s done. For those reasons he’s offering the cash prize to the first person to deliver documented proof that they hit Brown with “at least two solid punches.” For legal reasons, Seccia writes that his offer is partially a joke, but he seems serious about wanting some karma to come Brown’s way.
Another high-profile hater is country singer Miranda Lambert. She was one of the first to express her disgust at Brown’s performance at the Grammys and got caught in a Twitter feud of her own with the 22-year-old R&B singer. Brown responded directly to Lambert with a sarcastic tweet: “Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out! Go buy Miranda Lambert album! So motivational and ‘PERFECT’!”
Lambert doesn’t seem to want to drop the issue anytime soon. At a concert on Thursday in Amherst, Mass., she spoke out against domestic violence. “I just have to speak my mind, because where I come from, beating up on a woman is never okay. So that’s why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun.”
