Celebs Out & About: Monica Meet & Greet at Sam’s Club
Celebrity blogger Tami of Talkingwithtami.com got the chance to interview R&B Diva Monica at Sam’s Club on Clairmont Rd in Atlanta yesterday.
Monica was there to give back to those less fortunate by participating in a meet & greet during the store’s annual “A taste for you” event that is also held simultaneously at Sam’s Club stores nationwide. Customers were invited to meet Monica and to sample a variety of gourmet holiday foods.
Sam’s club also donated $1 million dollars to support child hunger programs through Feeding Americal, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. Atlanta Community Food Bank received $75,000 from Sam’s Club.
After signing autographs, Monica took pictures with Sam’s Club staff, including store Manager, Mike Jones, and her mom, Rev. Marilyn Best!
According to Tami, Monica became involved in the efforts to help raise awareness of child hunger after Mo discovered one of her sons sneaking food out of the house to feed a hungry classmate.

Monica Denies Pregnancy Rumors
R&B singer Monica dismissed rumors that she is carrying husband Shannon Brown’s baby. The Diva spoke to Global Grind last night during the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul 3rd Annual Women Behind the Music series at Tenjune in New York.
When Monica was asked if there were any future baby plans for her and basketball hubby Shannon Brown, she said:
“Absolutely I’m young, he’s young and we want to have that between the two of us, but right now we are enjoying the three that we have blended together. We have little Shannon, we have Rodney and we have Romello. So we are enjoying the three of them right now.”
On married life as a basketball wife:
“I always say ‘I’m Shannon Brown’s wife’. I don’t look at the title of what he does, basketball, as the leading ideal of what I am as a wife. Because no matter what career path he chooses, I’m his wife, not a basketball wife.
I just look at it like we have two different jobs that are some times complex, but wanting our marriage to work it’s easy for us to prioritize and do what we need to do.”
Last night’s event honored Mona Scott, Monica and celebrity manager Phillana Williams with a special performance by Bridgette Kelly.

Celebrity Bump Watch: Monica Brown?
I am not at liberty to discuss R&B Diva Monica Brown’s maternity status. I can say that I have been asked to respect Monica’s privacy, which is what I’m doing.
But other bloggers continue to pry into Mo’s private affairs.
Take That Snitch for instance. She posted a video on her blog today which, she says, proves the existence of Mo’s baby bump:

Monica celebrates Halloween with a party at sons’ school
R&B Diva Monica celebrated Halloween with her sons, Romelo and Lil Rocko at their Atlanta private school today. After their costume party at the school the boys changed to go Trick or Treat with the entire Family. Monica was dressed as the Nun (Whoopie Goldberg’s character) in the movie ‘Sister Act’, which is one of Mo’s favorite movies.
Romelo was Super Mario and Rocko was Luigi. Aren’t they adorable!
Monica – Until It’s Gone (video premiere)
The music video for Soul Diva Monica’s current single, “Until It’s Gone”, premiered on BET’s 106 & Park last night. The music video features actors Malinda Williams and Brian White as a couple whose lives are about to be forever altered when she discovers he’s been cheating on her. Monica plays the brokenhearted bestie who tried to warn her.
New Music: Monica – Do It All Again
A new song has leaked from R&B Diva Monica’s upcoming album, New Life, titled “Do It All Again”. The track is produced by Norwegian producers Stargate. According to Toya, the producers sampled the hell out of their Beyonce “Irreplaceable” track.
In the song, Mo regrets not going that extra mile to save a past relationship. New Life hits stores on November 29.
Monica Brown – Until It’s Gone
“Anything (To Find You)” wasn’t working out for R&B Diva Monica Brown. So she just released a new track titled “Until It’s Gone” that everyone is raving about.
Is this the hit Monica needs to regain the respect of radio?
Monica’s 7th studio album, New Life, drops November 29.
