Sneak Peek: Cassie – King of Hearts

Bad Boy/Interscope Records released the official trailer for Cassie’s long-awaited single titled “King Of Hearts”. Lol, I’m joking about the ‘long-awaited’ part. She’s still trying. Bless her heart. The video looks like a teenage boy’s wet dream. This blogger put it best when he wrote: “This looks like a commercial for a new Trojan Condom.”
Beyonce – Dance For You (Sneak Peek)

In this sneak peek for her last music video before she gives birth to whatever she’s carrying, Beyonce shows us how she works it for daddy.
In Case You missed It: 2011 Black Girls Rock Performance On BET

The 6th annual Black Girls Rock 2011! Awards in New York aired on BET last night. The show was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross (‘Reed Between The Lines’) and Regina King. Beverly Bond (pictured above) is the creator and executive producer. The show is based on her non-profit organization titled BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc.

Beyonce’s baby bump absent from latest music video, “Party”
Earlier tonight, BET premiered Beyonce’s latest music video, “Party”. Missing from the much-hyped music video (and the song) is Andre 3000, aka Dre of Outkast. In his place is newcomer J. Cole, who doesn’t quite measure up vocally to Dre 3K. Also missing from the video is any hint of Beyonce’s notorious baby bump.
Oh, of course her Stans will repeat the tired excuse that Bey filmed this video months ago — before she started showing. But if that’s the case, did she know ahead of time that she was going to be pregnant? Because it seems like she’s filmed all of her videos in a short span of time, the way T.I. did before he went off to prison earlier this year.
The music video features cameos by younger sibling Solange, Kelly Rowland, and the aforementioned Roc Nation artist J. Cole.
Monica – Until It’s Gone (video premiere)

The music video for Soul Diva Monica’s current single, “Until It’s Gone”, premiered on BET’s 106 & Park last night. The music video features actors Malinda Williams and Brian White as a couple whose lives are about to be forever altered when she discovers he’s been cheating on her. Monica plays the brokenhearted bestie who tried to warn her.
Rihanna – “We Found Love” music video premiere
As we told you on Monday, Rihanna’s music video for her current single “We Found Love” would premiere this week. The music video highlights Rihanna’s disturbing tendency to cling to unavailable men such as Chris Brown and Matt Kemp. Then when these men predictably abuse her (verbally or physically), instead of moving on with her life she blames them for her own inadequacies and spirals emotionally out of control.
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s successor, singer Miranda Brooke (pictured above), held a meet and greet for New York’s music industry yesterday. Unlike Rihanna, Miranda is a talented singer who has a long, promising career ahead of her.

Rihanna Settles Lawsuit With Photographer
Rihanna’s bank account is $1 million lighter after she settled a lawsuit with celebrity photog David LaChapelle for stealing his ideas in her music video.
In his lawsuit, LaChapelle cited raunchy scenes in Rihanna’s “S&M” music video which were direct copies of his provocative pictures.
In July, a federal judge agreed with the celebrated lensman, saying the lawsuit had merit and could proceed through the courts.
Rihanna and her lawyers collapsed like a house of cards and quickly agreed to a financial settlement.
Jaret Keller, LaChapelle’s publicist, confirmed Rihanna had settled the case but declined to comment further. He said, “David is happy with the settlement.”
“I like RiRi,” said LaChapelle earlier this summer. “This is not personal, it’s strictly business. Musicians commonly pay to sample music or use someone’s beats and there should be no difference when sampling an artist’s visuals.”
Good for him! Now maybe Rihanna will stop trying to be like Beyonce and actually hire a video director with some talent and creativity for her music videos.
