You would think that by now retired NBA star Shaquille O'Neal would stop sending emails that could come back to haunt him.
According to British tabloid The Daily Mail, strikingly beautiful Newsweek writer Allison Samuels formed a close relationship with O'Neal when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
In one email, Shaq revealed that his former Miami Heat teammate, Dwyane Wade, was dating human condom, Lauren London. (Does Gabrielle Union know that?)
The emails are said to have been sent in 2008, from Ms Samuel's Newsweek work email --making the emails Newsweek's property. Shaq and his then wife Shaunie were divorced in 2007 but they reconciled a year later.
In the emails, Samuels attempts to "set Shaq up" with several exotic looking women, including model Sessilee Lopez and actress Robinne Lee. This is commonly done when a woman (usually a lesbian) has zero interest in a man and wants to push him on other women.
But the 7 ft 1 in, 39-year-old Shaq repeatedly told her he wasn't interested in any of them -- he preferred her or bisexual singer Rihanna.
Troubled singer Rihanna was seen blowing kisses at the paparazzi who keep her relevant as she boarded a luxury yacht in Saint Laurent du Var in the south of France today.
Two days ago, Rihanna displayed her disturbing erotic stage routine at the V Festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire, UK. Friends say the once bubbly Barbadan chanteuse has descended into the pits of mental depression fueled by bouts of alcoholism and drug use. I hope she can get it together for her mother's sake.
It's simple mathematics: an equation in which 2 narcissists are equal will always cancel each other out.
According to Billboard.com, Kanye West and Jay Z's much-hyped collaborative effort, Watch The Throne, debuted on iTunes with just 436,000 units scanned. This figure is far below the estimated 1 million pre-sales on the album's website Watchthethrone.com.
According to IBTimes.com, Jay Z and Kanye's "swollen egos" led to the album falling short of 500,000. "Jay and Kanye talk about their "greatness" so much, it is almost as if they forgot to actually bring it to the album," writes IBTimes.
Both stars have ultra-star power and they certainly know it... and they know that we know it.
... In fact, Jay and Kanye talk about their "greatness" so much, it is almost as it they forgot to actually bring it to the album.
According to most critics, the album has its impressive moments. In spite of their large egos, Jay-Z and Kanye West are talented artists and bring great tracks to the table. But considering the hype surrounding their names, the album falls short. The rappers almost make it seem they are god-like themselves in the nearly blasphemous and impious track "No Church in the Wild."
In spite of their names, Jay-Z and Kanye have some work to do if they want to keep their album on the top of the charts.
During a recent interview with FOX News Host Great Van Susteran, billionaire hotel magnate Donald Trump discussed President Barack Obama's work ethic -- or lack thereof.
Van Susteran referred to a tweet that The Donald sent on his Twitter page about Obama's nonstop vacations on the tax payers dime.
Well, the fact is, he takes more vacations than any human being I've ever seen. They used to complain about George Bush, but I understand he's already exceeded George Bush and we're not even through the year. So he likes vacation.
The Donald continued:
...it sends a bad message. Here we have a country that really is going to hell in a handbasket. Let's not kid ourselves. What's happening to this country is horrible. All over the world, they're talking about it. And we have a president that's constantly -- whether it's Martha's Vineyard or someplace else, constantly on vacation. I mean, all the time he's on vacation! So I think it sends a very, very bad message. We have to work in this country to bring it back.
Next week Obama and his family will make their annual trek to Martha's Vineyard for a 10-day vacation -- against the advice of Democratic leaders. The Obama family excursion to the playground of the affluent, non-working, old money rich adds to the nearly 60 days of vacations that Michelle Obama herself has already taken this year! That's two months of vacations when most hard working stiffs are lucky to get 2 weeks of vacation per year.
The Obamas' refusal to cancel their Martha's Vineyard vacation despite the economic turmoil and declining jobless rate sends a clear message to voters in next year's elections.
The leading GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry gave a unique reason why he was running for president in 2012.
Speaking to an audience in Waterloo, Iowa last night, Perry said he answered God's call to run for the nation's highest office because our military flat out doesn't respect President Obama.
"One of the reasons that I’m running for president is I want to make sure that every young man and woman who puts on the uniform of the United States respects highly the president of the United States," he said.
Presidential candidates usually come out of the gate swinging for the fences. But what Perry said was a particularly low blow even for a narcissist with a God complex.
Salon.com points out that Ben Smith, who reported the quote from Iowa, wrote that the military is pretty much required to respect the president, "so in some sense Perry's line is insulting to soldiers."
Meanwhile, despite his dreadful approval rating (below 40%), all is not lost for President Obama in the 2012 elections. He might be able to overcome insurmountable odds in 2012 IF he can whip the economy back into shape, says the Washington Post.
Last night, Hip Hop Kingpin Jay Z held his 'Watch The Throne' listening party at the ultra plush Liv nightclub in Miami, Florida. And this morning, the blogs stumbled over themselves exultantly announcing that Jay Z had broken a pointless record at Liv by purchasing $250K worth of crappy champagne.
Jay Z did not perform. But that didn't stop male and female groupies from handing over their rent money to the tune of $300 for girls and $500 for guys just to get into the club where he was holding court.
VIP booths were going for $20K a pop, which included 4 bottles of the bubbly of choice. Kanye didn't attend the party because he was touring in Europe.
Cabaret singer Beyonce's four night stand at New York's Roseland Ballroom sold out in 22 seconds -- thanks in large part to ticket scalpers.
Bey opened her 4 night stand last night wearing a shimmering gold dress designed by her mother Tina Knowles, and shoes by Stuart Weitzman.
Fans, rather, Stans lined up for hours before the show even though they already had tickets in hand. The delirious Stans packed the 2,500 capacity ballroom to hear Bey belt out lesser known tracks from her '4' album.
The concerts were described by one industry insider as "brilliant album listening parties organized for the fans," which she hopes will spark slumping sales of '4'.
But Beyonce's opening night didn't jump off without some controversy.
Every ten years or so someone decides to make Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie the poster boys for gay rights. Every time this issue is revived in the media, the Sesame Street front office responds with the same stock answer: Bert and Ernie are not gay.
Now here it is 2011, and gays are still advocating -- and debating -- the homosexual lifestyle of children's hand puppets.
A petition upholding Bert and Ernie's right to get married has made it's way onto Change.org, and from there on to Twitter.com where the story was picked up by the national media. An argument could be made that this is all in good fun. But some gays are taking this petition too seriously.
"In this horrific age of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) kids taking their own lives, they need to know that they are beautiful and their lives are worth living," wrote the person who started the petition, Lair Scott of Oak Park, Illinois.
"We are not asking that Sesame Street do anything crude or disrespectful, only that they allow Bert and Ernie to marry, or even add a transgender character to the show. It can be done in a tasteful way."
Really? How do we explain this to the children in a tasteful way so that they understand that 2 male hand puppets who don't even have legs are married like man and wife?
The problem with the Gay Left is that they are mostly narcissistic and place their own needs above those of the rest of society, including the children.
When troubled singer Rihanna danced like a slut in the streets of her native Barbados last week, many people came to her defense, saying her naughty dancing was part of the tradition of the Kadooment Day festival on the tiny nation island.
Well, dancing like a trollop or a hussy may be customary for the other drunks in the street, but Rihanna is a worldwide superstar with legions of female fans -- many of whom are under 18.
Rihanna has a responsibility to her young fans, says singer Mel C, who criticized Rihanna for her inappropriate' overtly sexual behavior, her pot smoking and her drunken binges that are the talk of the industry.
The 37-year-old mother of 3, took to Twitter today and posted:
"For the record. I am a big fan of Rihanna, I am also a mother. People have to take some responsibility because we’ve got to a point where over-sexualisation of young children has gone too far,’ the Mirror reported. I think music is a big part of that. Women in music, very successful women, are extremely sexual and they have young fans. It is inappropriate.
The Spice Girls singer used herself as an example of an artist who performs without over-sexualizing her stage routines.
"Rihanna has responsibility and although culture’s always changing, it’s changed too much. It needs to be dealt with. It’s reached saturation point, we owe it to our kids to protect them. Rihanna’s free to do as she pleases, of course, but I think her take on the criticism she’s had is interesting." Source
Troubled rapper Kanye West stirred up more controversy over the weekend by making a statement comparing himself to Adolf Hitler, the dead dictator who ordered the deaths of millions of Jews in Nazi Germany.
The 34-year-old rapper known for his outbursts was the headline act at the Big Chill music festival Saturday night, where he ranted in the middle of his set about being misunderstood and underappreciated.
"I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm (expletive) insane, like I'm Hitler," he said. "One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did."
West received light boos from the crowd as a result.
Kanye's collaborative album with Jay Z, Watch The Throne, dropped last night on iTunes. The album sold over 1 million in pre-orders.
There's something to be said about dating exotic dancers who accept a man's money in exchange for performing certain personal services that other women would provide for free.
One of the advantages in dating a stripper is that she knows how to be discreet and keep her mouth shut about what she sees and hears.
Kanye knows. He used to date a private dancer, the ubiquitous Amber Rose. Kanye mistakenly thought that he could find those same confidential qualities in other women. But other women are not schooled in the disciplines of jurisprudence that exotic dancers accept as code of law.
As soon as Kanye started dating his latest squeeze -- a non-dancer named Angela Martini -- she started running her mouth to the press. That's a huge no no when you're dating a man who keeps secrets.
R&B singer Ciara attended the "Station Invasion Concert Tour" at Beekman's at South Street Seaport in New York City yesterday. She looks great now that she's picked up some weight. When I saw Ciara at the mall last month my jaw hit the floor. She was so thin I could see her ribcage through her dress.
Basketball Wives LA star Laura Govan let a man do this to her face.
Rapper 50 Cent burst onto the rap scene in a blaze of glory in 2003, with the Blessings of Eminem and Dr. Dre. It's amazing how money, and a huge unchecked ego, can destroy a man's creativity. This latest garbage off his upcoming album was actually leaked -- probably by Fiddy himself. When no one seemed to notice the leak, 50 made a lot of noise about leaking Dr. Dre’s Detox track “Psycho”, which got everyone's attention.
On this pathetic track, 50 brags about his money, jewelry and million dollar cars backed up by an annoying Garage Band beat. "I'm On It" is a classic example of what happens when artists lose their hunger for their craft.
So we shouldn't be surprised to learn that Brandon Marshall held a news conference to announce his diagnosis. Marshall told the gathered reporters that he wants to be "the face" of BPD. Narcissists love attention any way they can get it.
BDPs are known for their mood swings, rages and aggression which sometimes leads to violence.
In fact, it was violence toward Marshall's wife that forced him into therapy. But Marshall was in therapy once before and it didn't help. These personality types are master manipulators who are notoriously difficult to treat.
Borderline personalities, especially malignant narcissists, are hard to spot at first because they can be so charming and disarmingly handsome (or stunningly beautiful in the case of female narcissists). They literally spend hours in front of a mirror perfecting their image to woo their potential partners.
They are expert hunters who use their physical beauty to entrap their unsuspecting partners. Once they target someone as their prey they are hard to resist, and it isn't long before their object of affection thinks they're in love -- but that's when they switch up and their dark side emerges.
The first sign of trouble is an episode of narcissistic rage that seems to come from out of nowhere.
It looks like child killer Casey Anthony and her attorneys will have to wait one more year before she can sell her lies to the highest bidder.
A no-nonsense Florida judge has ordered Anthony back to Florida to begin serving a one year "supervised" probation within 3 days. This means Anthony can't leave the state of Florida without the judge's permission, and other restrictions on her movements.
Yes, that's singer Rihanna bending over so a man can sample her Goodies. The troubled singer shocked her native Bajans with a disrespectful display of raunchy behavior during Barbados' Kadoomant Day Parade today. Rihanna, 23, simulated lap dances for men and women on board a float during the parade. She was seen grabbing women's breasts and making obscene gestures to the crowd. Was she drunk? Did Rihanna forget who she was and the fact that she's a role model for millions of young girls around the world? There's only one word to describe these pictures: Disgraceful!!
According to one of Rihanna's music producers, the troubled singer just finished wrapping up her next album.
Still riding high off the success of her platinum album, LOUD, Rihanna is now doing post-production work on the album during her visit home in Barbados.
Verse Simmonds and his partner Sham "Sak Pase" Joseph, who previously worked on "Man Down", have made two songs for the Bajan singer, according to MTV via Ace Showbiz.
"From what I understand, she is closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved and I'm really excited about them as well," he dished on. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."
Talking about the sound they crafted for RiRi, Simmonds said it's different from the reggae-infused "Man Down". "We always try to constantly - as producers, as artists - we try to always come with something different, a whole new sound," he stated.
Troubled singer Chris Brown released the cover art for his upcoming mixtape titled Boy in Detention, dropping August 5th. The cover art depicts a young, brown skinned thug with a row of gold teeth and short cropped hair. It takes a minute for it to sink in that the 'boy' is Brown himself. But isn't Chris Brown light skinned?
Is this artwork an example of what psychologists refer to as a 'freudian slip'? -- an expression of his unconscious desires? Does Chris Brown really wish he was black?
Chris Brown shares his passions for fashion and women on the illustrated cover of his hip-hop mixtape Boy in Detention, dropping August 5. The artwork, designed by Mina Kwon, shows a hand-drawn Breezy wearing sunglasses with a skull, flames, sneakers, and a scantily-clad lady in the background.
With time running out for releasing a new deficit plan before overseas markets open just a few hours away, House Speaker John Boehner is putting the blame on Barack Obama.
Boehner says Obama is stalling because he's worried about losing the upcoming presidential election in 2012.
In a speech Friday evening, Obama said that he would be willing to work on “any plans” that lawmakers brought him over the weekend. “The only bottom line that I have is that we have to extend this debt ceiling through the next election, into 2013,” President Obama said.
Boehner criticized Obama for recommending a debt ceiling deal be timed to last beyond the next election season.
“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn't we be worried about the country?” Boehner said. “I'm not worried about the next election," Boehner continued: "I told the president months ago: Forget about the next election!”
But isn't that what narcissists do -- worry about themselves?
If Rihanna didn't have bad luck, she would have no luck at all.
A Manhattan judge yesterday greenlighted famed photog David LaChapelle's multi-million dollar copyright suit against the troubled songstress.
According to the NY Post's Page Six:
In a ruling released yesterday, Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin said the surrealist shutterbug "successfully alleges" that the songstress, her record label and video director may have copied his provocative images for Rihanna's "S&M" video.
Scheindlin cited the "hot-pink and white striped walls," "women wearing frizzy red wigs" and "black tape wrapped around a man." Source
And yesterday, MTV delivered yet another blow to the 23-year-old pop star when the network released its nominations for the 2011 MTV VMA Awards. Rihanna received only two nominations for guest appearances on Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights” and Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie.”
MTV ignored her hits “Only Girl In The World,” “What’s My Name,” “S&M,” “California King Bed,” and “Man Down.”
They say Rihanna's unrealistic demands and Diva-like behavior is what led MTV to deliver the ultimate snub!
We believe it. We told you that her record label held a top secret meeting earlier this year to discuss their temperamental superstar.
An oil rich Arab sheik is so narcissistic that he wanted his name to be seen from outer space! So to make his dream a reality, Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Ahyan, 63, hired workers to carve his name in gigantic letters on an island he owns in Abu Dhabi, United Emirates.
And here we thought Kanye West, Oprah and Sean Combs were the biggest narcissists on earth.
Chris Brown's West Hollywood neighbors are calling him a nightmare from he!! According to TMZ.com, the self-absorbed, inconsiderate snob has outraged his neighbors in more ways than one!
They say he often parks in handicapped parking spots when he has his own assigned parking spots. Unfortunately, his rowdy friends often take up his parking spots, so he parks in the handicapped spots.
TMZ quotes neighbors who say Brown and his thug friends race their pit bulls in the hallways and blast loud music all day long.
The fed up building manager has called the police, who issued tickets to the selfish star. Brown's lawyer, who always has a ready made excuse for his childish behavior, blames the parking dispute on the building -- for deeding him the handicapped parking spots, lol.
I just got off the phone with a confidential source who is close to Rihanna's camp.
The source, who begged to remain anonymous, expressed deep concern over Rihanna's most recent public antics. In particular, the source, who asked me not to even reveal their gender, is worried that Rihanna might be close to having a nervous breakdown, or worse, kill herself.
"Everyone is on heightened alert," said my source.
"it's the talk of the [record] label! Her security has been tightened and her publicist travels everywhere with her now. We're all worried that Rihanna might do something crazy and end up hurting herself."
"She's been getting drunk every night," said my spy. "She drunk calls her friends and they in turn call or text her label reps -- and each other -- asking what's going on with her.
The friend said Rihanna is "deeply depressed" and she has turned to self medicating her emotional wounds. When I asked if Rihanna is doing any hard drugs, my source declined to comment.
I was asked to write this post in the hopes that Rihanna will read it and somehow snap back to reality.
"All this over a man," my source whispered cryptically into the phone.
Less than a week after her longtime boyfriend, Safaree Samuel, bashed her face in with a suitcase, Nicki Minaj met her contractual obligations by hosting a party at the Velvet Room in Atlanta Sunday night. But she didn't stay long. In fact, according to a source who works at the club, Nicki stayed 15 minutes and then dipped!
My sources tell me she was paid a whopping $30,000 for her appearance at the Velvet Room in Tucker, Georgia, a suburb North of Atlanta. But when she got to the club, Nicki made it clear that she did not want to be photographed.
"She walked in like she was Michael Jackson, with 20 people and she wanted to sit in the VIP by herself," my sources told me. "She walked into the VIP and stood behind her bodyguard for 15 minutes and then she left!" My sources say the entire club booed Nicki loudly as she walked out.
"In the six years that the Velvet Room has been open we never had anybody booed like that," said my source.
After three years in jail, the most hated woman in the world, Casey Anthony, was released during the early morning hours of Monday. "Her future is uncertain and an uphill battle as she re-enters society," says CNN.com. "Death threats and unkind words abound in the social media realm."
The "I hate Casey Anthony" Facebook page has more than 45,000 fans; the "F--- Casey Anthony" page has more than 775,000, according to CNN.com.
A woman mistaken for Casey Anthony was nearly run over by an Oklahoma woman driving a minivan last week.
"Is Casey Anthony in danger?" blared the newspaper headlines this morning.
Anthony was ordered held without bail 3 years ago when it seemed certain that the state of Florida had enough evidence to convict her for the brutal death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. The toddler's skeletal remains was found in a wooded area near her family home on December 11, 2008. Her head was wrapped in duct tape.
Troubled singer Chris Brown took to his Twitter page over the weekend to throw yet another public tantrum. This time, the target of his wrath was conservative journalist and Fox News analyst Laura Ingraham. Her mistake was having an opinion and calling him a narcissist, which he is. Ingraham also took offense to the fact that NBC's Today Show invited Brown to sing on its popular concert series last week.
"Is that actually singing?," Ingraham asked.
She added: "Chris Brown beat his girlfriend to a pulp. He uses the N-word, the C-word, the S-word, the most degrading misogynistic lyrics... yet he's treated like royalty!"
Instead of ignoring her, or making light of the fact that she would even bother to breathe his name, Brown did what he normally does when he feels disrespected -- he lashed out in a very juvenile manner because his feelings were out. He took care to mention that his haters (mostly white females) were "old" -- as if he doesn't plan on ever aging.
