POLL: Choose Who Deserves the Takers Tickets
As you know, longtime member aqtpie was among the 5 lucky winners of the Takers screening and after party tickets. Unfortunately, she is unable to attend due to personal reasons. She emailed me this morning to say,
“I have been a faithful reader from the start and I finally won a contest that I didn’t even try out for… This is a once in a lifetime chance you have to choose who deserves them or maybe do a quick poll!! Thank you so much Sandra.”
It’s very difficult to make a decision because everyone is deserving of the chance to attend. The tickets must go to one winner and their guest (not two members because only one name goes on the list).
So I decided to take Cutie’s suggestion and do a quick poll. Please vote for the member you think deserves the tickets most. Voting ends at 11:30 AM.
UH OH: Obama hits the campaign trail as his poll numbers tank
U.S. president Barack Obama’s already abysmal approval numbers have hit a new low.
According to Rasmussen Reports:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20 (see trends).
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m.
Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove.
In a desperate bid to win back some of his lost Kool aid drinkers, Obama will begin running for reelection now rather than wait until later. As of this week, Obama is now back on the campaign trail. One of his first stops will be the set of ‘The View’ on Thursday where he is in friendly territory.
Expect a lot of kissing up and glad-handing from the mostly partisan co-hosts. There will also be pitchers of free flowing Kool Aid for the audience. Okay, I made up that last part.
I hear the Boy Scouts of America aren’t happy that Obama basically dissed them in favor of the ladies on ‘The View’. Obama is the honorary president of the Boy Scouts of America. But he plans to skip the historic Boy Scout Jamboree marking the Scouts’ 100th anniversary tomorrow in DC.
Both of my brothers were proud members of the Boy Scouts — and I’m sure that many of Obama’s supporters are former Boy Scouts too. But narcissists like Obama usually don’t care about such things as honor and integrity or cute photo ops with the scouts.
Even so, ‘The View’ guarantees Obama will reach a larger audience than the Boy Scouts Jamboree. And right now, a larger audience is what he needs more than ever.

Senate Votes To Repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’
Gays and lesbians in the U.S. military are rejoicing at the news that the US Senate has voted to repeal the controversial ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy — the so-called ‘gay ban’ on gays serving in the military.
On Friday (May 28), a Senate panel approved an amendment to repeal the ban by 16-12. Later, lawmakers in the House approved the amendment by 234 to 194. The measure still requires a full Senate vote.
This means that more than 60% of gay enlisted soldiers will now ‘come out’ to their superiors — and demand special treatment in the process.
Gays in the military will no longer be forced to hide in plain sight. Gay soldiers can now solicit each other for sex openly in the barracks without risking a dishonorable discharge.

For months now Obama has pretty much ignored his dismal approval ratings, which tanked to 29% today.
He will need every single one of you kool aid drinkers to go to the polls in November if he has any hopes of maintaining a strong Democratic foothold in Congress. Obama finally woke up and smelled the coffee. He now knows that the upcoming November elections is crucial to his socialist agenda.

Yesterday marked the 2nd public appearance of rapper T.I. since his release from an Arkanasas prison last December. The occasion was a birthday party for his stepdaughter and his baby mama Tameka “Tiny” Cottle’s biological daughter, Zonnique Pullins, who celebrated her 14th birthday at the Luckie Lounge in midtown Atlanta.
About 100 screaming kids turned out to celebrate with Zonnique, who is a member of the popular OMG Girlz singing group. T.I. arrived very early (around 6:30 p.m.) and stayed for two hours. In addition to the kids, there were several grown T.I. fans from Miami in the house who couldn’t resist calling out T.I.’s name for pictures.
It seems that someone at the party (I won’t say who) alerted the public to the party by tweeting about it on Twitter.com, which didn’t sit well with the party’s organizer (yes, even DJs can be groupies).
The Princesss/Rock Star themed event was organized by Grand Hustle’s General manager Hannah Kang and her partner Laura Giles, both co-owners of Music Business Politics. The party was filmed for an episode of BET’s Tiny & Toya Show.
