From E Online:

Tyrese's birthday party at MyHouse last night brought out all the big names like Diddy, Rihanna and her new baseball beau Matt Kemp, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx...and the LAPD?
It was quite the scene outside the Hollywood hot spot as helicopters and police officers were called in to help with crowd control.

Not that the birthday boy seemed bothered by the police presence. "1,100 people turned away!" Tyrese twittered. "17 police officers outside. Hellicopters, SHUT DOWN!"

It probably didn't help matters that Diddy was also tweeting about the bash—making it the party to crash.
As for Rihanna and her man, who are back in town after their PDA-filled vacay in Cabo...
No tweets but the BFFs with benefits seemed "very happy" as they danced and drank Grey Goose and bubbly.

"She was introducing him around the room to various people, and they seemed to be having a good time together," a club rep tells E! News.

I know you've seen some of the pics from Sean "Diddy" Combs' ultra private New Year's bash on the lanai of his palatial mansion on Star Island in Miami, Florida (lanai is a fancy word for patio). But you haven't seen these pics yet (I don't think).

I didn't get an invite to the splashy affair (if you don't have at least 5 figures in your checking account, you weren't invited). But I had a spy in the house who gave me the inside scoop. I can't tell you everything all at once. I have to save some news for a later date.

The NY Post wrote a scathing piece today slamming burlesque singer Beyonce for performing a private 1-hour concert for the son of Muslim Libyan terrorist, Moammar Khadafy.

This is more evidence that celebrities will do anything for money and fame.

Beyonce performed for an hour on New Year's Eve at a party thrown by terror-backing Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy's son, Hannibal, who has a long record of violence against women.

Some vacationers on the island were aghast. DJ Sam Young tweeted: "Jigga [Jay-Z], Beyonce & Usher were @ Nikki Beach performing for Khadafy family, WTF?" Read More...

Apparently, Khadafy's son Hannibal beat his wife to a pulp inside their hotel room over the Christmas holidays. The wife suffered a broken nose, among other injuries, and had to be hospitalized.

The criticism is so damaging that Beyonce's camp at first denied that Beyonce received a $2 million fee to perform. Then they denied that Beyonce even performed. But music magnate Russell Simmons already tweeted the pics from the concert and confirmed that she was there performing. It remains to be seen how this one will play out.

Thanks to loyal reader Gina for the tip!

We don't have much in the way of real celebrities anymore now that psuedo singers and reality TV personalities have just about taken over. The music industry realizes that the genre is dying and have quickly switched their focus to white celebs like Lady GaGa and the newcomer white rapper Ke$ha.

What few celebs we still have left celebrated their New Year in the typical fashion. Beyonce spent the week in St. Barths with Jay Z on the French Riviera. She performed a New Year's Eve concert for the wealthy elite who could afford to be gouged on the ticket prices.

By the way, some of you may recall me mentioning Beyonce's stage manager/tour director(?) Kim Burse whom I had dinner with a while back (follow her on Twitter). Well, Kim is the one who auditioned and hired Beyonce's lesbun lady band. So you can thank her for the guitarist chick with all the crazy tats.

I told you that convicted woman beater Chris Brown would be partying on a private yacht near Miami Beach.

Brown and Bow Wow hung pretty tight the whole weekend.

At one point, Brown's camp got a little nervous and invited a buxom beauty to take pics with Brown to throw off the rumor mongers.

It didn't work

Unfortunately, the other celebs I mentioned didn't bother to show up to the private yacht party.

According to my friend, Akon's brother Bu Thiam, VP of Def Jam, who invited me to Miami for the Lady GaGa concert -- only Brown, LisaRaye, Polow Da Don, and new group The Rich Girls (one of whom is pictured above with Chris) showed up to party on the boat. Bu blamed the cold weather in Miami for the low turnout. But everyone still had fun as much fun as one can have with a convicted woman beater on board.

I also asked Bu about the incident involving Lady GaGa. The tabloids said she took a nasty spill while performing her New Year's Eve concert at the Fountainebleu hotel on Miami Beach. Bu said she did fall, but the blood was fake. "She just be on her artist sh*t. GaGa is an artist. You know how artists are. They just do crazy sh*t. She's all good," said Bu, who hung out with rapper Young Jeezy all weekend in Miami.

It's this time of year when people tend to reflect over the year and realize how Blessed we are. Looking back on his Blessings, Young Jeezy knows how important it is to give back & pay it forward. He chooses to do it through his Non-Profit foundation called *Street Dreamz*. If you look at these pics you'll see that the kids look familiar. You're right, these are the same kids you saw at the Thanksgiving event.

Along with being a Blessing and making sure these kids have a great Holiday season he's also giving the gift that will truly make a difference, being a mentor to these kids. So even after the Holiday season is over he intends to stay involved with them and make sure these kids continue to travel the right path. Last night The event took place at Justin's Restaurant where he shut the restaurant down to have a private party for the kids.

Everyone ate good then burned off the food in a dance contest. Then they all received presents. But for the Snowman, the grind just doesn't stop as South, Ga is all abuzz as he's preparing to shut down a gym, fill it with toys and again make sure those that have not, have this Holiday...

The headline in this morning's NY Post Page Six tabloid section reads "Jay Z is a Popular Boss," but it's more likely that Jay Z's employees are just sucking up to him in hopes of keeping their heads out from under the chopping block.

You know this is that time of year when the record labels swing the axe and fire everything moving so they can tell their major stockholders that lie that they're out of the red.

Anyway, according to a spy for Page Six -- which doesn't pride itself on accuracy or even the truth for that matter:

Jay-Z and Beyoncé were in fine spirits at the holiday party for the rapper's Rocawear label at Hudson Terrace the other night. We hear the staff's Christmas gift to him was a video spoof of his hit single, "Empire State of Mind" -- starring his assistants, secretaries, interns and designers. "The couple stood and cheered and took time to pose for pictures and sign autographs for everyone's kids," says a spy. "They were pretty great."

Monica's producer Bryan Michael Cox had a birthday party at the W Midtown hotel last night in Atlanta. The local glitterati showed up including Jermaine Dupri, his artist Dondria, producer Sean Garrett, songwriter/singer Johnta Austin who was on bedrest after surgery on his back, and other industry execs.

Celebrity photographer Prince Williams of was on hand to get the flicks!

JD's artist Dondria is still hanging in there. And that's all I'm going to say because she's kinda sensitive and can't take a joke when her name is in it.

On Thursday night, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle will hold the long-anticipated Grand Opening for her Tiny's Nail Bar salon. It will be a night to remember as Tiny, her family and celebrity friends celebrate her first solo business venture.

As I told you previously, Tiny's man T.I. is so excited about this new venture and he is anxious for the shop to open.

We are grateful to Tiny's camp for extending special invites for 3 of my lucky readers and their guests! I will be there as well to greet my readers and BET will be filming for an upcoming episode of The Tiny & Toya Show.

So make sure you come camera ready!

All you have to do to qualify for the invites is say something nice. We've done this before so you know how it works. Some of you need not bother to participate in this thread. I've been taking names and keeping notes, so don't try and change up now.

See, it always pays to be nice!

Last night, super producer & songwriter Sean Garrett called to say he was honored, along with V103's Frank Ski, left, and Ryan Cameron, right, as one of Gillette's Men of Style at a classy event held at the Geisha House. The splashy affair was hosted by actress Vivica Fox and male socialite Fonzworth Bentley.

I told Sean my invite must have gotten lost in the mail. At any rate, the finest gentleman in the industry put on their best threads for this event. Congrats to all the real men who were honored!

Loyal reader Bernadette Truell writes:

Beyonce helped her man Jay Z celebrate his 40th birthday in the Dominican Republic with a 50s gangster style birthday bash last night. She was the guest of honor along with Jigga's mom Gloria.

According to Marie Claire.CO.UK, his well-heeled guests included Oprah Winfrey, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, P Diddy, Kate Hudson, Ne-Yo, M.I.A., Kanye West and Lil Wayne. Sean Combs and Kanye performed during dinner and actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker Chris Martin of Colplay sent birthday greetings via video.

After dinner, guests were treated to a 40s-style synchronized swimming show followed by a fireworks display.

The only guest missing from the merry shindig was golfer Tiger Woods who has his own problems to deal with.

Guests dined on caviar washed down with expensive Perignon champagne.

There are no pics yet because even the biggest stars were asked to leave their cell phones at the door to prevent them from Twittering pics to Jay Z's fans who helped make him what he is today.
