fanMAIL from BK2ATLMAN (AKOO Brunch Winner)
Loyal reader BK2ATLMAN wrote in to let us know all about his experiences at T.I.’s “A King Of Oneself” Birthday Brunch on Sunday, October 2nd!
Hey Sandra.
I just wanted to thank you again for the tickets. It was a great event. Before I tell all the details, I also wanted to give a shout out to Hannah Kang, who welcomed me and my business partner, made sure we had our table and was just an overall great person. Cute smile too…
She even made sure T.I knew I was the winner and brought him to my table to chop it up a bit. Also it was recorded for his [reality] TV show.
The Good:
The place was beautiful, everything was setup perfect. There was an open Ciroc bar, so that was one of my best friends throughout the day. Can’t believe everyone was getting sauced that early in the day. The food was good, except for some egg seafood thing that just wasn’t the business. The chicken breast was the bomb, but after a couple bites it was done.
More Good:
My table was the bomb, on the left of me I had the A&R from badboy and on the right side of me I had Shawn Holiday from Interscope, who I already knew. I made tons of new connections and might have to cut you a check in the near future.. lol.

Hello Sandra,
I will first start off by saying that I absolutely love your blog!! Even when you are bias, at the end of the day we all are to a certain extent. When everyone in the office going for their first cup of coffee, I on the other hand am also getting my first dose on your blog, lol. I don’t always agree with you however I will say that I respect you for keeping it real on all levels and what I truly admire are the times you’ve admit to being wrong. Many faces have come to grace your blog for morning glory and most definitely I felt it was time to stand out for the beautiful sisters with their heads shining like the midnight moon, bald and beautiful!! I’m of Haitian descendant, pursing a second degree while show casing talent for the curvy, well proportioned women out there. This industry is the nature of the beast and can easy manipulate women to fall in between the cracks and accept the no’s. However, I’m the definition of the average woman, beautiful burnt skin, flaws and all yet still demanding my respect. I want to let every aspiring model out there striving to know that it’s never over until YOU, yourself throw in the towel and say it is. I want to wish you continued success and please preserve what has made me a FAN from the beginning which is being YOU because even when some may not like it they will RESPECT it. Thank you for making my day, EVERY day!! :~)
LIVE, LOVE and always LAUGH
Warm Regards,
Tico

Hey Sandra,
My name is Aisha Nicole. First off let me say I love your blog and read it every morning and at lunch time while at work
We chat sometimes on twitter. I would love to be featured on the Morning Glory post! I work full time in Corporate America at a Brokerage Firm however my passion is modeling. I am a print model from Chicago looking to take over the game one photo at a time. Im considered to be curvy in the modeling world even though Im only a size 8, its hard to get signed if you’re not a size 0 or size 12….. I feel I represent the everyday woman. Also it is extremely hard not to be typecast as a Video vixen or Glamour model if you are a little thick.
Im working on creating a better image for women of color who are curvy. We are more than our hips and thighs. I plan to use my “Face” to get ahead and not my ass…..even though that’s great too. I have dreams of gracing the covers of top beauty mags like Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar. What ever happened to showcasing garments, hair and beauty products ? Thank you for your consideration.

I would love to be featured on the Morning Glory section of your site because I think I have a great blend of intelligence and sexiness for any type of woman to respect. I have dreams of being a columnist for a women’s magazine, and eventually starting my own column. I believe its important not to keep yourself in a box, and use all your resources to be successful, and I will! I also am secretary of Black Student Union at my college. Meet Our Louis Vuitton Handbag Winner, Keysha Willis
Our lucky Louis Vuitton winner, Keysha Willis, stopped by Lenox Square Mall over the weekend to claim her Louis Vuitton Montorgueil PM handbag. My apologies to Keysha for the runaround this weekend. We initially told her to meet us at Atlantic Station at 2pm. Then we changed the time to 3 and 4, and finally we called Keysha and asked her to meet us at Lenox where we were doing last minute shopping for Alex Gidewon’s ultra private birthday party tonight.
Keysha was a good sport, and she was so happy when she saw her bag! She said, “Thank you! Oh wow! Oh my God, this bag is thousand dollars? This is really nice! I like Keysha. She deserves this bag because she cares about others and puts others first! Bless you Keysha!
Thank you to Prince Williams of ATLPics.net for the pics!

Louis Vuitton Handbag Giveaway Winner! *Updated*
Thank you so much to all of my caring readers who shared their stories of empathy and compassion for those of us who are less fortunate. I received over 100 submissions for my Louis Vuitton handbag giveaway! I wish I could award a LV bag to everyone who entered, but there can only be one winner.
Despite the fact that only one of you will win the bag, just know that you are ALL WINNERS in the hearts of the people and loved ones that you have touched with your kindness and generosity!
The submissions for the Louis Vuitton handbag giveaway were the most enlightening and heartwarming I’ve ever received. Some of the emails broke my heart.
It was difficult to choose just one winner from the many great entries, but I decided to give the handbag to Keysha Willis!
Keysha’s heartwarming story of unselfish compassion for her adopted sons touched my heart, and I hope it touches yours as well! I have included her letter after the break.
Keysha will have 24 hours to claim her prize by emailing sandra @ sandrarose.com! If we don’t hear from Keysha, a new winner will be announced tomorrow.
Thanks again to everyone who entered and may you continue to enrich others through the joy of giving! There will be another giveaway in the coming months, so please check back!
Special thanks to Tavius Elder at Louis Vuitton!
Update: We we were contacted by our winner yesterday. Here’s an excerpt of what she wrote:
It was great reading all of the well wishes from your readers! One of them even sent me a facebook message to tell me I’d won and to hurry up and contact you! LOL!!
