'Empire' co-creator Lee Daniels is determined to make drag queen Amiyah Scott his muse.

Amiyah, who didn't make the cut this season on Real Housewives of Atlanta, was tapped by Daniels to join his fictional girl group in an 'Empire' spin-off series about a younger Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson).

Fox TV's Empire just set another record for declining ratings on a week-by-week basis for a scripted TV series.

Not even a threesome between Empire mogul Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), 51-year-old investor Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) and a sultry nubile woman could spark interest in Lee Daniels' sinking ship.

Nielsen TV ratings plunged overnight for Fox TV's dreadful soap opera Empire.

Wednesday's episode drew just 8.2 million viewers. That's down 8 million viewers since Empire's season 2 premiere.

Fox Network is in panic mode after Empire's TV ratings took another tumble this week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the once popular soap opera musical lost another 1 million viewers on Wednesday night.

From Hollywood Reporter:

Though the series still easily won Wednesday night, in both the key demo and total viewers, it slid another half of a point among adults 18-49 for an average 4.6 rating. The Fox drama also averaged 12.2 million viewers. Empire has seen its time-shifting take rise with each same-day fall since the lofty premiere, so it's becoming apparent that it currently isn't nabbing the appointment viewing status that it had during its freshman season.

Insiders whisper that Fox Network execs are ignoring the live viewer ratings and focusing instead on the artificially inflated DVR ratings.

Rap mogul 50 Cent blamed Empire's drop in ratings on "too much gay stuff."

At this point, it looks like nothing short of firing Lee Daniels will save this sinking ship.
