The exact moment when President Obama was briefed on the DC earthquake

When a rare 5.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Washington DC Tuesday, President Obama, whose approval rating is at a record low 38%, was on a golf course in affluent Martha’s Vineyard where he’s vacationing with his family.

This AP photo shows the exact moment when President Obama’s golf swing was interrupted by a White House aide who called to tell him that the White House was still standing. The media was kept at a respectable distance from Mr. Obama but reporters overheard him say, “this couldn’t wait until I finished my 18 holes?”

OK I’m kidding about that last part.

Before resuming his golf game, Mr. Obama conferred with top aides, including his homeland security secretary, national security adviser and disaster response chief.

It was Mr. Obama’s 3rd golf outing since arriving in Martha’s Vineyard for a 10-day vacation on Thursday.

Celebs Out & About: Rihanna, La La Anthony, Lil Wayne

According to E! Online, 28-year-old rapper Lil Wayne fell and bumped his head while skateboarding with rapper Corey Gunz at Transitions Ramp Park in Dearborn Heights, Michigan yesterday morning. E! Online reports that Weezy required several stitches to close the gaping gash. Shouldn’t he be used to falling on his head by now? Tuck and roll next time Weezy!

The platinum-selling rapper was admitted to DePaul Health Center with a nasty cut on his forehead after wiping out at a skateboarding park near the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, where he had just finished giving a concert.

Fans will be happy to hear however that Lil Wayne is doing fine.

“The Lou was good but I busted my fuggin head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people,” the hip-hopster tweeted after doctors patched him up. Source

Troubled singer Rihanna was seen blowing kisses at the paparazzi who keep her relevant as she boarded a luxury yacht in Saint Laurent du Var in the south of France today.

Two days ago, Rihanna displayed her disturbing erotic stage routine at the V Festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire, UK. Friends say the once bubbly Barbadan chanteuse has descended into the pits of mental depression fueled by bouts of alcoholism and drug use. I hope she can get it together for her mother’s sake.

While some of the country was fixated on a wedding that is destined to end in divorce, U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama did nothing to diminish reports that their own marriage is on the rocks. For starters, the couple arrived on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts on Friday in separate jets — sparking rumors of discord between the commander-in-chief and his wife. Then the media made much ado about this REUTERS photo showing Mrs. Obama icily shutting her husband out while listening to music on her iPod as they left their vacation home yesterday. It was one of the rare times the Obamas were seen together publicly on the well-to-do island.

Singer Seal gets the distinction of being our Morning Wood today! Even with my decidedly lesbian eyes, I can see that Seal is one gorgeous specimen from the neck down! The women must envy supermodel Heidi Klum for snagging him. Seal took Heidi and their children on vacation to Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy earlier this week. Trump: Obama takes more vacations than any human

During a recent interview with FOX News Host Great Van Susteran, billionaire hotel magnate Donald Trump discussed President Barack Obama’s work ethic — or lack thereof.

Van Susteran referred to a tweet that The Donald sent on his Twitter page about Obama’s nonstop vacations on the tax payers dime.

Trump responded:

Well, the fact is, he takes more vacations than any human being I’ve ever seen. They used to complain about George Bush, but I understand he’s already exceeded George Bush and we’re not even through the year. So he likes vacation.

The Donald continued:

…it sends a bad message. Here we have a country that really is going to hell in a handbasket. Let’s not kid ourselves. What’s happening to this country is horrible. All over the world, they’re talking about it. And we have a president that’s constantly — whether it’s Martha’s Vineyard or someplace else, constantly on vacation. I mean, all the time he’s on vacation! So I think it sends a very, very bad message. We have to work in this country to bring it back.

Next week Obama and his family will make their annual trek to Martha’s Vineyard for a 10-day vacation — against the advice of Democratic leaders. The Obama family excursion to the playground of the affluent, non-working, old money rich adds to the nearly 60 days of vacations that Michelle Obama herself has already taken this year! That’s two months of vacations when most hard working stiffs are lucky to get 2 weeks of vacation per year.

The Obamas’ refusal to cancel their Martha’s Vineyard vacation despite the economic turmoil and declining jobless rate sends a clear message to voters in next year’s elections.

LisaRaye wants you to know…

“Single Ladies” star LisaRaye, who is currently on tour in Italy (no doubt spending that “Single Ladies” cash), was forced to interrupt her vacation yesterday to respond to the backlash she received from Stacey Dash fans on Facebook.

As you know, there are unsubstantiated rumors circulating about Dash’s abrupt termination from the popular VH1 show. LisaRaye posted this message to her Facebook wall:

As everyone know I am in Italy vacationing. I was just made aware of the lies that are being spread by Mediatakeout and other blogs that like to create false stories. I was not even aware that Stacy Dash had been fired from Single Ladies. Furthermore if she has been fired that is a network decision. I don’t have the power to get her fired nor do I have any beef with her. Now im going to go continue enjoying my vacation!

Stacy Littlejohn, the show’s principal writer and executive producer, also responded to the grilling on LisaRaye’s Facebook:

LisaRaye is a very strong woman and we love her, but she does not have that kind of power, nor at any time did she seek to influence any casting decisions. Furthermore, no cast member of Single Ladies has the power to get another cast member fired. the 6th grade back-stabbing that LisaRaye’s being accused of is completely the creation of uninformed, instigating internet gossip. Please don’t buy into it. Let’s just celebrate that we have a Season 2 coming!!!!

But why would anyone think LisaRaye had anything to do with Dash’s dismissal from the show when LisaRaye is just a cast member herself? If people on Facebook are this dumb I’m glad I don’t have a Facebook page.
