The hotly anticipated “R&B DIVAS: LA” Reunion part 1 was hosted by Talk Diva Wendy Williams. Williams did not hold back as she grilled the ladies on their past and present problems with men, drug issues and the show’s scripted scenes.
Cast member Dawn Robinson skipped the reunion which was taped in early August, but she was there in spirit — and on Twitter.com bringing the drama.
In last night’s episode of “The Game” on BET, Kiera (Lauren London) and Blueprint (Bryce Westbrook) finally reveal their true “feelings” for each other.
“One thing I can’t deny is that no matter what happens with us… I can’t get you out of my mind,” says Kiera. This is the typical language of an addict who can’t stop snorting cocaine or put down the alcohol glass. Kiera is experiencing a rush of Dopamine, the drug that controls the pleasure centers of our brains.
Women like Kiera often confuse these intense feelings for Love, which is exactly what our Creator intended to stimulate us to procreate with reckless abandon. Love is not expressed through feelings or words, it is expressed through our actions. If Kiera understood that she would see through Blue who is immature and downgrades her every chance he gets. We can all see where this relationship is going once the Dopamine fades.

THe “R&B Divas” spinoff, “R&B Divas LA” premiered last night on TV One. Like the Atlanta cast, the Los Angeles cast is made up of R&B singers including Dawn Robinson (En Vogue), Michel’le (Dr. Dre‘s muse), Lil’ Mo, Chante Moore, Claudette Ortiz (City High) and Kelly Price. The semi-scripted reality show follows the lives of these women as they resurrect their careers while raising their families.
The NY Daily News review of the series premiere was kind: “Nobody immediately steps forward to be awful. Nobody scratches anyone’s eyes out,” the writer notes. But that will change next week when “R&B Divas LA” follows the same script as other reality shows.
In last night’s episode of BET’s “The Game,” football star Jason Pitts (Coby Bell) simulates eating an invisible steak dinner off an empty plate to show his wife, Chardonnay (Brandy), that she isn’t taking care of her duties at home. “I’m a million dollar athlete. You expect me to come home and eat a taquitos for dinner?,” he asks her. Chardonnay also disobeyed Jason’s direct orders to stop socializing with troublemaker Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson), whose fiancé dumped her after he caught her cheating on him with Rick Fox.
The episode called attention to the problems men have with selfish career wives who spend more time outside the home while neglecting their wifely duties.
MTV premiered a sneak preview of season 2 of their hit TV series “Catfish: the TV show” yesterday.
