SR EXCLUSIVE: Slimm Opens Up About His Split from Vivica ‘I Walked Away from the Situation’
Yesterday, actress Vivica A. Fox, 48, broke her silence on her break up with local club promoter Omar “Slimm” White, 28. She admitted she has the tendency to rush into relationships with men who have “a six-pack and a smile.”
I reached out to Vivica’s ex-fiance Slimm to get his side of the story, and to ask him what he thought about Vivica’s interview.
According to Slimm, he walked away from the situation first. In fact, Slimm says that when Vivica gave Sister 2 Sister magazine an interview for the December 2011 cover, she acted as if they were still together.
“Of course you’re not going to admit that somebody broke up with you because it would make you look bad,” said Slimm.
On allegations that he used Vivica for the fame:
SLIMM: “If I was in it for the fame, I would have kissed her a**. I would have just basically played the game if I was just trying to use her. You want happiness, you don’t want to be in it for the wrong reasons because it wouldn’t work out. Furthermore, if I was using her for fame then why not play the game and put my pride aside and follow through on tying the knot? The reason being: I’m not that type of man and I refuse to sell myself short for fame.”
Vivica A. Fox Speaks Out About Failed Engagement to Slimm

Actress Vivica A. Fox spoke up about her failed engagement to local club promoter Omar “Slimm” White, 28. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Vivica, 48, acknowledged that she might have a problem rushing into marriage based on physical attraction.
“Sometimes in relationships there are warning signs,” Fox told Access Hollywood. “And I think that once you get older, I’ve been married before, that if there are warning signs, that you should pay attention to them before you get families involved and all the hoopla and things like that, and if things aren’t working out it’s ok to move on.”
White and Fox called in quits in November 2011, after a 10-month engagement. Fox said she hasn’t put herself back on the market yet but is thinking about trying to mix up her dating habits.
“I told myself that I’m gonna try something different next time because I happen to fall in love with a six pack and a smile,” she said. “And look what that’s gotten me.” Source
Slimm Confirms Break Up; Snubs Urban Blogs

Sandrarose.com was the first to spill the tea that local club promoter Omar “Slimm” White and his fiancee, actress Vivica A. Fox, were no longer an item.
On Oct. 19, a little birdie whispered in our ear that Slimm and Aunt Viv were no longer following each other on social networking website Twitter.com. So we called Slimm for confirmation that same day.
At first Slimm acted surprised. Then he dismissed the rumor, saying, “Everything is fine.” Still, the rumors persisted. So we mentioned the break up in this post on Oct. 24.
Slimm finally confirmed the rumor yesterday — but not to the urban blogs that supported him all this time and even helped promote his parties here in Atlanta. He runs to a random gossip blog that nobody’s ever heard of.
We put the blame on Vivica for not knowing that, at her age and with her money and status, no young man wants to date her for her looks or her personality.
Why muddy the waters with talk of commitment and having babies when you know the relationship is purely physical?
Celebs Out & About: Drake, Vivica A. Fox, Jody Watley, Estelle, Kim Coles, Antonio Banderas, Selma Hayek
Rapper Drake celebrated his 25th birthday with a bash at TAO in Las Vegas last night. We don’t care if he’s gay or straight, as long as he hurries up and drops his much-anticipated CD, Take Care, on Nov. 15.
Actress Vivica A. Fox attended the “Puss In Boots” Los Angeles Premiere at Regency Village Theatre yesterday (Oct. 23) in Westwood, California. Rumor has it that Aunt Viv and her handsome boy toy, local promoter Omar “Slimm” White, are no longer together. We reached out to Slimm for confirmation but he had no comment. One tell-tale sign of trouble in paradise is Slimm and Viv stopped following each other on Twitter.com. Viv also removed all signs of Slimm from her Twitter page. But she’s still wearing the 8 carat diamond engagement rock that he gave her. So, being the credible blogger that we are, we will wait for the official announcement from their publicist before we comment any further.

No reality TV show for Vivica A. Fox and her fiance Slimm

Actress Vivica A. Fox is bucking the current trend of putting her personal life on public display for television cameras. The 47-year-old star of Set It Off and Kill Bill said she is avoiding going the reality show route to preserve her relationship with her man.
“I will be getting married soon,” Vivica said, referring to her engagement to fiance Omar “Slimm” White. “When we got engaged it was the #1 trending topic of the day on Yahoo! so we thought everyone would be interested in seeing the wedding and the whole shebang.”
Vivica told reporters at the recent Comic Con event in San Diego that she knew she’d made the right decision after meeting with reality tv show producers.
“When we went there, they were like, ‘What do you guys fight about?’ Who are your friends that are a mess?’ So I was like, ‘I don’t want to start off my marriage with creating drama’ because we get along very good.”
“I try not to live my life in a fishbowl. I have to turn off,” Vivica said. “If I’m on all of the time, how will my husband ever get to know me as his future wife. I have learned to turn off and to be able to hang out with my family and my friends and not be so on.”

Vivica A. Fox On Marrying A Man 20 Years Her Junior
Actress Vivica A. Fox, 47, visited the set of AccessHollywood yesterday for an in-depth interview about her upcoming projects and her marriage to her fiance Slim, 27. Vivica looks hawter than ever!
“Daddy did good,” said Vivica while flashing her gleaming engagement rock for the cameras. “That’s about 8 carats right there,” she gloats. “If you can’t come any better than this, BAM! Keep it moving!”
I wouldn’t mind seeing Vivica on an episode of VH1′s new series “Single Ladies” with LisaRaye McCoy.
