Did Brandy Throw Monica Under the Bus?

According to my inside sources, Brandy Norwood is throwing her former duet partner Monica Brown under the bus after their single “It All Belongs to Me” failed to meet expectations.
And now their upcoming tour has been scrapped. But Brandy is placing the blame for the failed tour squarely on Monica, saying Monica is more focused on her sons and husband, Shannon Brown, than she is on touring.
But that’s not true, according to my source. He told me there were issues with the top billing (whose name would go first) as well as money issues (who would get paid more). He said Brandy derailed the tour by demanding top billing and more cash upfront.
“It’s a done deal. And [the deal] fell through,” said my source.

Did Usher Attempt to Harm His Own Mother? Judge Boots Press from Courtroom

According to Dennis Byron, of HipHopEnquirer.com, Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane booted the press from the courtroom Tuesday during the contentious child custody trial of singer Usher Raymond and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
Judge Lane ordered the press removed from the courtroom in advance of testimony by Usher Raymond, who was asked by Tameka’s lawyer, Lisa West, to explain a violent incident involving his own mother, Jonetta Patton.
According to Mr. Byron, Tameka Foster’s attorney objected to the press being removed from the courtroom. It is her contention that Mr. Raymond is an unstable and unfit father.
Read Dennis Byron’s report after the break, and stay tuned for more news from the courtroom later today.
Angry Black Teacher Suspended for Threatening Anti-Obama Student With Arrest

A social studies teacher in North Carolina was suspended with pay for threatening an anti-Obama student with arrest.
Tonya Dixon-Neely, who is black, took offense to the student challenging President Obama who criticized Mitt Romney for bullying when the future president himself bullied an overweight, black girl in high school.
In his best-selling book, Dreams From My Father, Mr. Obama recalled an incident when he shoved the girl and told her to get away from him because Mr. Obama didn’t want his white friends to believe he liked her. At the time, Mr. Obama wrote that he sought to impress his white friends by disrespecting the black girl.
In Case You Missed It: Billboard’s Underwhelming Whitney Houston Tribute

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina paid tribute to her late mother Sunday night during the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Whitney died of a drug overdose on Feb. 11.
The tribute was underwhelming according to feedback on Twitter.com last night. Despite the pre-show hype indicating that Bobbi Kristina, a budding entertainer, would sing — she didn’t.

BK shed tears during Jordin Sparks’ stirring performance of “I Will Always Love You.” Afterwards, Bobbi K. took to the stage with her aunt, Pat Houston.
“I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life,” said Bobbi K.

Tia Mowry is Currently Unemployed
Yesterday news broke that actress Tia Mowry was let go from BET’s low rated The Game television series. It seems that Mowry, 33, found out about her dismissal from the show right around the same time that the rest of us did.
In fact, Tia was a guest on Wendy Williams on Tuesday, and she didn’t mention a word about being fired from the show. Inside sources say Wendy is seething because she thinks Tia knew she was fired and was holding back because she didn’t want Wendy to break the news on her show first.
But Mowry is telling friends she had no idea that she was unemployed.
Rihanna STUNS at “Battleship” L.A. Premiere!
You can say what you want about troubled singer Rihanna, but she is killing the game right now (pun intended). Rihanna showed that she can easily compete with Angelina Jolie by showing off her lanky legs at the premiere of ‘Battleship’ in Downtown Los Angeles Thursday.
The singer and actress co-designed the white, backless dress with the plunging neckline for Armani Collections, giving onlookers a glimpse of her sexy, lithesome figure.
No one seemed to notice the other stars in the film as Rihanna made even seasoned paparazzi collectively catch their breath.
