Michael Jackson’s children introduce Beyoncé at Tribute concert (video)

Michael Jackson’s three children, Paris, 13, Prince, 14, and Michael Joseph, Jr., aka Blanket, 9, introduced singer Beyoncé at their father’s “Forever Michael” tribute concert in Cardiff, England yesterday.

The kids were brought onstage by comedian/actor Jamie Foxx, accompanied by their uncle Jermaine’s sons, and auntie LaToya Jackson, 55.

“We’re very happy to be here on this special night to honor our father,” said Paris, who, along with her bothers wore outfits inspired by the King of Pop.

“She’s always pushing the envelope with her boundless energy and talent,” she said of Bey, who wore an afro wig and phoned her performance in from an undisclosed location in the U.S.

Boy born with eight limbs shows off new body

A 7-year-old boy from India who was born with eight limbs has a new body thanks to the kindness of surgeons.

Deepak Kumar Paswaan of Bahir, India was born with the arms and legs of his underdeveloped twin brother sticking out of his chest. Twins occur when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus and splits into two embryos.

In Deepak’s case, his twin never separated completely from him in the womb. Deepak suffered taunts and bullying from other children who called him a “devil” and a freak.

According to British tabloid The Daily Mail, Hindu pilgrims visited Deepak’s home to worship him as an incarnation of the god Vishnu, who is often depicted with more than four limbs.

Deepak’s life was changed forever when leading surgeons from Bangalore’s Fortis Hospital agreed to operate for free.

The pioneering surgery, which was carried out last year, would normally cost around £50,000 [$72,000 USD], a sum his impoverished family could never have dreamed of affording.

Happily the gruelling four-hour operation was a complete success.

Now fully-healed and looking like a healthy, normal seven-year-old, cricket-mad Deepak has been given a new lease of life.
He said: “I can run faster than my two elder brothers – before I could never keep up. I really like my new body. It’s much more fun. I am very happy.”

London Burns On Day 3 of Rioting and Looting

Rioting, looting and mayhem has rocked London, England for the 3rd day as both blacks and whites react violently to the shooting of an unarmed black youth by police last week.

London’s Daily Mail published dramatic photos of the conflict in London as police and firefighters struggled to control riots in which officers have been attacked, shops looted and dozens of buildings set on fire. Jewelry stores and even a McDonald’s were burned to the ground and gutted of all merchandise.

“Ordinary people have had their lives turned upside down by this mindless thuggery,” said Scotland Yard Commander Christine Jones.

Unlike the American media, the British media have been unbiased in their coverage of the looting. British newspapers and television media show images of whites and blacks looting, breaking windows and setting fire to cars and property.

A Daily Mail reader noted that the looting did not stem from poverty, deprivation, lack of education, lack of affordable housing, nor discrimination. “Most of the people doing this looting are old enough to work and buy their OWN things,” another reader commented.

Iran uses city busses to execute convicted rapists

A grisly video making its rounds on the Internets gives new meaning to the phrase ‘dead man walking.’

The footage shows three men lined up on top of buses as a crowd of onlookers gather nearby. Ropes are looped around the men’s necks and tied to the bridge supports above them. After their crimes are announced over a loudspeaker, the buses on which the condemned men stand are slowly driven away, leaving the men swinging by their necks as the crowd, including children, cheer.

The convicted men are literally forced to “walk it out” before the nooses tighten around their necks and robs them of their life breath.

The Middle East arm of Amnesty International has denounced the public executions of the three Iranian men convicted of rape and sentenced to hang by bus.

Would you marry a prince for millions if you didn’t love him?

I guess that’s a dumb question these days…

Arranged marriages are nothing new. Other cultures have arranged marriages for their daughters or sons since the beginning of time. It’s just a bit strange to see an arranged marriage played out live in televised images beamed to millions of people around the world.

That’s exactly what happened this weekend when Prince Albert II of Monaco took the hand of South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock in marriage.

Reportedly Charlene was offered a tidy sum (millions of dollars) to marry Albert and bear him an heir to the throne. Prince Albert, 53, assumed the throne in 2005. He is the son of the late American actress Grace Kelly and Prince Albert I, ruler of Monaco.

Monaco is a tiny principality in the French Riviera bordering France. Considered a playground of the rich, Monaco has its own laws, customs and traditions. It’s economy is propped up by casinos and tourism, and it is a tax-free haven to the filthy rich.

But let’s get back to Albert and Charlene.

It seems that she agreed to marry him because Albert has a thing for loose women. He knows he’s not marriage material, but he needs an heir to assume the throne when he passes on.

The sex-starved prince has already impregnated 2 women (that we know of). But Monaco’s constitution will not allow illegitimate children to assume the throne, even though they are entitled to the prince’s riches. Now a third woman has come forward with paternity papers in hand just days before the wedding.

Michelle Obama and Daughters Land in South Africa

The two daughters of U.S. President Barack Obama landed in Africa with their mom, first lady Michelle Obama earlier today. Obama’s beautiful daughters, Malia and Sasha, looked worn and exhausted after their long transatlantic flight from America. Feeling a little chilly in the night air, the girls draped themselves in South African flags.

Michelle Obama plans to meet with South African President Jacob Zuma’s wife Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma in Pretoria and visit the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg today. Then tomorrow she will deliver the keynote address to a Young African Women Leaders Forum in Soweto. She will also visit Botswana and Cape Town during her tour of Africa. Mr. Obama didn’t make the trip.

This post was revised to reflect the following correction: in the original post it was noted that Malia and Sasha disrespected the South African flag. In fact, the flags were blankets given to the girls as gifts. We regret the error

Woman admits to fraud; spent $56 Million on Chanel, Armani and Michael Jackson memorabilia

Talk about audacity. A woman has admitted to defrauding financial group ING out of over $56 million, in what’s being called the largest embezzlement fraud case by a single individual in Australia’s history.

Rajina Rita Subramaniam, 41, siphoned $56 million (in U.S. currency) from ING coffers, which she deposited into private accounts to fund her extravagant lifestyle. The former senior accountant for ING is accused of spending millions of dollars on cars, homes, jewelry, high end clothing, shoes, bags, exotic trips and Michael Jackson memorabilia.

When she was arrested, police recovered a haul of expensive merchandise purchased by Subramaniam, including 600 pieces of jewelry from exclusive lines such as Bulgari, Tag Heuer and Tiffany & Co.; 200 Chanel products including clothing, perfume and makeup, tailored clothing by Hugo Boss and Armani, Mont Blanc stationary and a $600 bottle of Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon champagne.

She allegedly spent more than $16 million on jewelry purchases at Paspaley Pearls jewelry store alone.

ING Group is a global asset management organization with over 54 billion in reported revenue in 2010.

Subramaniam’s 20-year web of deceit unraveled in 2009 when suspicious high end retailers complained to ING about Ms. Subramaniam’s extravagant million-dollar purchases.
