Songbird Mariah Carey dressed a little more respectably in London yesterday. You recall last week she wore a crack-revealing mini-skirt that required her to remain upright at all times. We think she toned it down because her husband Nick Cannon suddenly showed up at her hotel and ordered her to “cover up right now!” Husbands are funny like that. They don’t mind their slutty side pieces jiggling all over the place. But not their wives!

I almost forgot that Mariah is pregnant.

Legendary pop singer Janet Jackson celebrated the release of her new album “Number Ones” while her adoring fans organized an impromptu flash mob dance in her honor at The Grove in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday. She looks so happy and content.

Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton and his former flame Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) are back on again. The two spent a quiet afternoon having dinner at the famed IV Shore restaurant in Santa Monica on Sunday.

47 Handshakes, 1 Bow

Over the weekend, the president of the United States managed once again to set off a firestorm of condemnation when he bowed deeply to Emperor Akihito of Japan. The last time this happened the White House embarrassed themselves by claiming Obama did not bow at all to the Saudi King.

Most Kool-Aid drinkers rushed to defend Obama by claiming he was being “respectful” to the Emperor. But the problem is Obama was actually very disrespectful to the Emperor by bowing deeply and not maintaining eye contact — a no-no in Japanese culture.

Then there’s the fact that Obama broke a longstanding protocol that dictates NO U.S. president bows down to Monarchs.

The video above shows 47 different greetings between the same Emperor Akihito and various heads of state. Only one person among them bows inappropriately. Can you guess who?

Japanese Culture Expert: ‘Obama’s Bow Displayed Weakness’

Last night, ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper cited his source, an expert on Japanese culture who said the president of the United States not only broke protocol by bowing to the Emperor of Japan, but his bow was “inappropriate” and “displayed weakness.”

Obama broke protocol by bending deep at the waist and taking his eyes off the person he was bowing to — a very amateurish error.

Pictures of Barack Obama’s deep, subservient bow to Emperor Akihito on Saturday were considered so inappropriate for a foreign leader that the Japanese newspaper refused to run the photos to spare Obama any further embarrassment. Instead, the papers ran images of Obama’s reciprocated “nod and shake” with the empress of Japan.

The source explained, “Obama’s handshake/forward lurch was so jarring and inappropriate it recalls Bush’s back-rub of Merkel.”

“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs. [Ouch!]

“The bow as he performed did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms…. The last thing the Japanese want or need is a weak looking American president and, again, in all ways, he unintentionally played that part.

“BTW, Obama’s bow at Suntory Hall was much better. Correct angle, slight bow. His hands were wrong but the physical tone was correct and appropriate.

Mother of Missing 5-Year-Old NC Girl Charged

A 5-year-old North Carolina girl is still missing 3 days after a man was arrested and charged with kidnapping her. Police suspect Shaniya Davis’s mother provided her to 29-year old Mario Andrette McNeil for sexual favors in exchange for drugs and/or cash.

Fayetteville, NC police arrested Shaniya’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, and charged her with child abuse involving prostitution, human trafficking and filing a false police report.

According to arrest reports, Davis “knowingly provide(d) Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and she “permit(ted) an act of prostitution.”

Shaniya had only lived with her mother for one month before she went missing.

McNeil (pictured below) has been charged with kidnapping Shaniya after he was seen on a hotel surveillance camera on Thursday (11/12) carrying the child into a Sanford hotel room about 40 miles from Fayetteville.

Shaniya’s mother reported the girl missing Tuesday morning (11/10) from a mobile home community in Fayetteville, and authorities began searching nearby wooded areas. She said she last saw her around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the home around 6:50 a.m., and immediately suspected foul play was involved in the girl’s disappearance. “There is definitely something not right about the situation. Foul play is suspected,” Fayetteville police spokeswoman Theresa Chance said Tuesday evening. The mother’s live-in boyfriend and her sister, along with an infant and Shaniya’s 7-year-old brother were also in the home when the girl went missing.

On Thursday, police took the mother’s boyfriend, Clarence Coe, 30, into custody and charged him with kidnapping. But Coe was released the next day and all charges were dropped.

Investigators said they found a blanket that might have belonged to Shaniya in a garbage can outside a neighbor’s home, along with other items the little girl was wearing. Shaniya was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and pink underwear.

Police sealed the home Tuesday and prevented family members from entering, citing extensive sewage leaks inside the mobile home.

Shaniya’s father, Bradley Lockhart, told The Associated Press he raised his daughter for several years but last month decided to let her stay with her mother. He said Shaniya’s mother struggled for years with alcohol and drug abuse as well as financial difficulties. He said she recently found a stable job and her own place so he decided to give her a chance to raise their daughter.

“I should’ve never let her go over there,” Lockhart said Saturday night.

Chance said the family has a history with the Department of Social Services.

“There have been major DSS issues with this family – who has custody, switching back and forth,” Chance said. This summer, officers served a search warrant at the home and found a variety of drugs inside.

Lockhart said police have not told him whether they are any closer to finding his daughter.
“I just want her to come back safe my friend,” he said. “I love her very much and I hope she is OK.”

He described his relationship with Davis as a “one-night stand” and said he and Davis never argued about him raising Shaniya.

“Shaniya is a precious young lady and she is special,” Lockhart said.

Fayetteville police say they interviewed three registered sex offenders in the area. The sex offenders are not considered suspects.

Police have not said whether they believe Shaniya is dead. “We’re treating this as a child in danger, with the information we have,” Chance said.

OBAMA BOWS DOWN AGAIN

Unbelievable! Why does the president of the United States continue to ignore established military protocol and bow down to other world leaders? Doesn’t Barack Obama care that his genuflecting to other leaders makes the U.S. look weak to the world? Or is he such a full-blown narcissist that he doesn’t care?

I agree with the critics who say Obama couldn’t salute the flag on Veteran’s Day but he can bow down to royalty. He is proving himself to be the most anti-American president in history.

The video of the bow is below. Note that the emperor did not return the bow just like the Saudi King didn’t bow to Obama seven months ago. Somebody needs to tell him again: American presidents do not bow to royalty.

Seven months ago, the White House insisted that Obama didn’t bow to Saudi King Abdullah, understanding the terrible breach in presidential protocol that it represented. They tried to tell reporters that Obama was picking something up off the floor, which the video clearly shows was a lie (at the link). Obama bowed down to Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, not pictured, as he arrived at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo this morning. The last time he committed a similar faux paux, the White House claimed he did not bow. What’s his excuse going to be this time? That he was looking for his contact lens?

Celebs Out & About: Lil Wayne, Drake, Yung Joc, Bad Girls Club

Convicted felon Lil Wayne was in town last night to attend the birthday party of one of his artists, Shanell, aka SNL, of the group Bad Girls Club, who is signed to his label Young Money Records. He arrived in a chauffeured Rolls Royce all by himself and celebrity photographer Prince Williams was on the scene to capture all the excitement! See more pics on ATLPICS.net.

New Couple Alert? Wayne’s artist Shanell celebrated her birthday last night at a midtown Atlanta nightspot with her sister D. Woods and Mika Means who round out the group Bad Girls Club. The event was not advertised. So club patrons were shocked to see Lil Wayne and Drake walk in the building.

Shanell’s birthday party was also attended by Weezy’s other artist Drake (below, left), and rapper Yung Joc (above, right).

Celebrity Seed: Kimora’s kids are huge

Kimora Lee and her sperm donor, actor Djimon Hounsou were spotted arriving at LAX last night. Kimora’s daughters Ming Lee and Aoki by Russell Simmons have really grown. What is she feeding them?

I’m glad I’m not a man and have to deal with my children getting attached to another man. That wouldn’t sit right with me. Call me insecure, but I would direct my attorneys to get full custody of my kids to prevent that from happening.
