Kim Kardashian-West and rapper A$AP Rocky were name dropped during Wednesday's Trump impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill, according to Variety.com.

As you know, the Democrats are attempting to impeach President Donald Trump for using a foreign power to investigate possible corruption by former Obama Vice President Joe Biden.

Gordon Sondland testified during the impeachment inquiry on Wednesday. Sondland, the wealthy hotel chain owner who donated at least $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee, was appointed by Trump as U.S. ambassador to the European Union.

According to an earwitness, Sondland called Trump on an unsecured cell phone from the patio of a restaurant to discuss rapper A$AP Rocky's detainment in Sweden.

Sondland was treating foreign service officials to lunch, including David Holmes, who testified in a deposition on Nov. 15 that he overheard Sondland discussing the rapper with President Trump on the phone.

"Ambassador Sondland told the president that the rapper was, quote unquote, kind of eff'd there," said Holmes, who added that Sondland told Trump that Rocky "should have pled guilty."

Holmes added: "He recommended that the President, quote, wait until after the sentencing or it would only make it worse, unquote, adding, the President should, quote, let him get sentenced, play the racism card, and give him a ticker-tape when he comes home."

Holmes, left, said Sondland, right, also told Trump that, "Sweden should have released him on your word, and "tell the Kardashians you tried."

Testifying before the committee on Wednesday morning, Sondland said he vaguely remembered the conversation about A$AP Rocky. "Yeah, what triggered my memory was someone's reference to A$AP Rocky, which was I believe the primary purpose of the phone call," Sondland said.

One week earlier, TMZ broke the news that Kim Kardashian-West and her husband, Kanye West, contacted Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, to enlist Trump's aid in securing A$AP Rocky's release from jail.

To date Rocky has never thanked Trump for speaking to the Swedish government on his behalf.

Drake was booed off the stage by fans who expected to see Frank Ocean perform at Tyler, The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw 2019 music festival in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The 33-year-old Canadian rapper was shocked by the negative reaction as he made a surprise appearance during a headline set shared with rappers Lil Uzi Vert and A$AP Rocky, pictured right with Tyler.

According to WENN.com, it had been rumored that rapper Frank Ocean, 32, was scheduled to perform during the evening, so when the "God's Plan" rapper stepped onstage, he was met with a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Cell phone video uploaded to YouTube by YeeterzTV shows Drake attempting to perform despite the booing at Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium.

Drake tried using a little psychology, telling the audience: "I'm here for you tonight. If you want to keep going, I will keep going." But it didn't work, as the concertgoers replied "Nooooo!"

Embarrassed and humiliated, Drake cut his set short by 20 minutes, telling the crowd: "It's been love. I love y'all. I go by the name of Drake. thank you for having me."

Following his quick exit, many concertgoers took to Twitter to share the news. According to one Twitter user, fans at the festival were expecting to see performances by openly homosexual rappers, such as Tyler, 28, and Frank Ocean (pictured left), but they got the closeted rapper Drake instead.

"Fans at camp flog gnaw were expecting that Frank ocean was gonna be the surprise guest headliner... they got drake instead.. safe to say... they rather Frank ocean."

But others insisted Ocean had never been confirmed to perform at the festival, and they don't know how that rumor got started.

"Tyler, The Creator never said it was Frank Ocean or gave clues about it," one person tweeted. "That's y'all fault for being mad and assuming s**t. It should be whatever that A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert and Drake were the mystery guest for Camp Flog Gnaw."

A$AP Rocky's Swedish lawyer was the victim of a suspected hit in Stockholm, Sweden on Friday morning.

Prominent attorney Henrik Olsson Lilja was shot twice - in the head and chest - as he left his apartment building in downtown Stockholm around 9 a.m. this morning.

Lilja initially represented Rocky when he was arrested for assaulting an Afghan migrant in Sweden.

Neighbors saw a man jump out of a SUV and wrestle with Lilja in the hallway of his building before he shot the lawyer and sped off in the waiting SUV.

Police have a suspect in custody - a woman who was previously banned from contacting Lilja. The gunman is still at large.

Lilja's condition is unknown. He was conscious and speaking with first responders before being rushed to a hospital.

A witness told the media the prominent attorney was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his face. He told police "it hurts".

"It was very bloody," said the witness.

Police don't believe the shooting is connected with Rocky's assault case.

Rocky was found guilty of assault last month after serving two months in a Swedish detention center. He was given a 2 year suspended sentence and allowed to return to the U.S.

U.S. President Donald Trump is still waiting for Rocky to thank him for helping to secure his release from jail.

President Trump thinks A$AP Rocky is ungrateful after the rapper refused to thank him for getting him released from a Swedish jail. The rapper was detained for over a month after a street fight with an Afghan migrant in June. He was released and allowed to return to the U.S. after President Trump made subtle threats to the Swedish government.

U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his disappointment in Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven for not securing A$AP Rocky's immediate release from jail after the rapper was charged with assault on Thursday.

"Very disappointed in Prime Minister Stefan Lofven for being unable to act," an outraged Trump tweeted on Thursday. "Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly! #FreeRocky".

Trump, who is not friends with Rocky, said officials should focus on "real crimes" in Sweden: "Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn't seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem!"

Trump previously assured his friends Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (pictured with Lil Kim and Rocky) that he would reach out to Swedish officials to secure his release.

But officials in Sweden apparently don't respect the U.S. president enough to release one of America's citizens.

Legal observers say the assault charge against Rocky was a "slap in the face" to Trump.

The new charge means the "Fashion Killa" will remain behind bars until his trial which is yet to be scheduled.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has been held in jail for three weeks following his arrest after he was involved in a street fight with two Afghan migrants.

In a police interview, Rocky, 30, said the two men were high on drugs when they pursued him and his crew for blocks and hit his bodyguard over the head with a pair of headphones.

On Monday, a Swedish prosecutor said no charges would be filed against one of the migrants for assault because he acted in self-defense after he was allegedly attacked by Rocky and his crew.

According to WENN.com, on Thursday prosecutor Daniel Suneson said in a statement he had filed the counts against Rocky and two other members of his entourage after coming to the conclusion that "the events in question constitute a crime, despite claims of self-defense and provocation".

Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, was arrested on July 2, and is being held at the Kronoberg Detention Center, alongside his two associates.

Photos published by a Swedish newspaper this week shows the clean, bright dormitory-like atmosphere of the detention facility where Rocky and his crew are being detained. The photos conflict with the description given by the rapper's attorney who claimed Rocky lived in squalid conditions with barely enough food or water to survive a week.

Rocky could remain in a detention facility for months or even a year before his trial. He faces a maximum of 6 years in prison if convicted.
