Mary J. Blige

R&B singer Mary J. Blige struggled to stay awake during the Los Angeles Lakers vs Brooklyn Nets game in the Staples Center in LA Tuesday. The 41-year-old "My Life" singer was spotted yawning and nodding off while sitting at court side. The Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets by the final score of 95-90 in their first game under a new head coach. Mike D'Antoni was hired to replace departing coach Mike Brown who was unceremoniously fired after the Lakers started the 2012-13 season with a dismal 1-4 record.

Last night I bowed my head in prayer and asked the Lord to comfort and heal the crazed Beyonce Stans who flooded my email inbox with such vile hatred and threats upon my life for voicing my opinion.

Yesterday I posted the viral photos of Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy with a headline that read: Blue Ivy has her mother Solange’s hairline.

Everyone -- except the naive Beyonce Stans -- knows that Beyonce did not give birth to adorable BIC. That doesn't mean she isn't a good mother.

Industry insiders whisper that Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles donated her eggs so a surrogate mother could carry Bey's baby to term.

Beyonce's husband Jay Z has gone on record to say that Beyonce has had miscarriages in the past and she is barren (infertile) as a result.

Rumors are flying that Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has a secret love child with a former TV reporter.

    It all makes sense now.

Tongues were wagging when LeBron's fiancee Savannah did not immediately join him on the court to celebrate the Heat's NBA Finals win.

The celebrating began even before the clock expired during game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Teammate Dwayne Wade's sons joined their father at court side as the seconds ticked off the clock, and Chris Bosh held his newborn son as his wife Adrienne Bosh looked on with pride.

But Savannah was noticeably absent when LeBron glanced around the court, asking, "Where's my family?"

When we finally did see Savannah, the look on her face was one of indifference. She seemed oddly detached and out of place with the jubilant atmosphere around her.

And now we know why: her fiance is allegedly a daddy for the third time.

Happy Father's Day to all the real daddies and to the brothas who are father's to other men's sons!

If you are a single man with no children, please take the time to show love to a fatherless boy instead of hanging out on the corner. You would be his hero and it would mean so much to his world.

After last night's grueling 101-98 win over the fast breaking NJ Nets, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James, 27, greeted rap mogul Jay Z, 43, and Beyonce's nephew Daniel Julez Smith (Solange's son) at court side. LeBron gave the smiling 7-year-old his sweat soaked headband, armbands, bracelets -- and he even took off his new size 16 Nike LeBron James 9s and autographed the shoes for Julez. That was nice of him!

Miami struggled throughout the game without Dwayne Wade, who was on the bench resting his sore ankle. LeBron scored 17 straight points to give the Heat the victory over the Deron Williams-less Nets at the Prudential Center in Jersey. The Heat never led in the game until the last minute of the 4th quarter.

Also, yesterday a loyal reader wrote in to inquire whether Beyonce, 30, was drinking beer at the Miami Heat vs NY Knicks game on Sunday. Without having any knowledge of the contents of Beyonce's cup (under her seat) I can't pass judgment on her. But I will say that a lactating mom should not be drinking beer, which can easily be passed on to her infant in her breast milk.

Early diagnosis is essential for children with autism, but minority children tend to be diagnosed later than white children, according to an article on

HuffPo quotes an expert on autism who says cultural differences can lead to delayed diagnosis of autism in black children.

"The biggest thing I want parents to know is we can do something about it to help your child," says Dr. Rebecca Landa, autism director at Baltimore's Kennedy Krieger Institute.

She gives examples of cultural differences, for instance, toddlers pointing before they talk is a key early sign of normal development. But pointing is considered rude in some cultures, and some black parents might miss that important sign due to cultural beliefs and superstitions.

And some new parents don't worry if their child is slow to start talking because other members of their family were slow to talk.

Singer Toni Braxton's 9-year-old son, Diezel (pictured above), was diagnosed with autism at age 3.

“I’m lucky,” said Braxton in an interview with OK magazine. “I try to tell most parents ‘don’t dismiss the signs.’ It’s OK. When you find out early, you can get them all the help they need."
