Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss finally got the wedding of her dreams. Burruss became Mrs.Todd Tucker in an intimate ceremony at an Atlanta venue last week. The non-traditional wedding was attended by family and friends including Xscape lead singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris, blogger Michelle of Straightfromthea.com, and a couple of Kandi’s cast mates from the hit reality TV show Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pull this all together….I couldn’t wait around hoping things would get better. I just had to do it and hope for the best,” An emotional Kandi said in an exclusive interview with In Touch magazine.
The wedding was filmed for a future episode of RHOA.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, 44, and girlfriend Sarah-Elizabeth Langford, 33, are engaged and expecting a baby, the Atlanta Journal-Constituion reports.
The AJC.com reports that Langford is the daughter of Atlanta attorney Susan Pease Langford and the late state Sen. Arthur Langford.
Photo of the Day: Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Phaedra Parks, Shekinah, Rasheeda attend Kandi Burruss’ Bridal Shower
Earlier today, former Xscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris Instagram’d this photo from Kandi Burruss‘ bridal shower today. Other reality TV stars attending the event are Tiny’s stylist Shekinah Jo, Phaedra Parks (RHOA) and Rasheeda Frost (Love & hip Hop Atlanta). Kandi and Tiny have been longtime friends since before they performed together in Xscape. It looks like Kandi is going through with the TV wedding despite rumors that her fiancé Todd Tucker has stepped out on her.
Once again, social media users took a seemingly innocent social media message and turned it into a ridiculous rumor.
Earlier this week rumors flew that socialite Kimora Lee Simmons was shacking up with Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Baby” Williams, aka Birdman. Just yesterday I chastised a young reader for emailing me about this silly rumor. I reminded her that Kimora is dating a Caucasian man. Now comes word that Kimora and her beau (whom she barely knows) have tied the knot.
NBA legend Michael Jordan, 50, and his wife Yvette Prieto, 35, welcomed twin girls over the weekend. Prieto gave birth to Victoria and Ysabel in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, Feb. 9. Jordan already has 3 grown children, Marcus Jordan, Jeffrey Michael Jordan, and Jasmine Mickael by ex-wife Juanita Vanoy. Jordan’s spokeswoman Estee Portnoy confirmed the births to The Associated Press.
Jordan, who turns 51 on Monday, married Prieto on April 27 in Palm Beach, Fla.
Jordan and Prieto dated for six years prior to tying the knot. She is reportedly the reason for his $168 million dollar divorce from Juanita.
When the news broke that former NFL star Terrell Owens, 40, got hitched to a postal worker in a Norwalk, Calif. courthouse, many scoffed that the marriage was fake. Owens and his new bride, Rachel Snider, were reportedly in such a hurry to get married that they didn’t exchange rings.
Just days after confirming her upcoming nuptials to longtime boyfriend and manager, Tim Witherspoon, Kelly Rowland plans to go the same route as singer Monica Brown, who exchanged wedding vows with Shannon Brown at a small private ceremony in her home.
