Mekhi Phifer is off the market
“ER” actor Mekhi Phifer tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Reshelet Barnes in an intimate Beverly Hills ceremony attended by family and close friends on Sunday (Mar 31).
Phifer, 38, was overcome with emotion as his bride-to-be made her entrance, a source told E! News. “When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away,” an eyewitness source told E! News. “He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes.”
Phifer entered to Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon In The Sky,” according to E! News. The 15-minute ceremony included Phifer’s son, who walked down the aisle with their Chihuahua.
Actress Malinda Williams divorced Phifer in 2003 after four years of marriage and amid allegations that Phifer beat her.
The actor made his star turn in Spike Lee’s “Clockers” and starred as Dr. Greg Pratt on “ER” from 2002 until 2008.

The handsome New York Giants defensive end and the beautiful Leila Lopes, 26, have only been dating a year before Osi popped the question. And Lopes, Miss Universe 2011, quickly said “yes!”
For those of you who are thinking it’s too soon, the couple don’t have plans to tie the knot until next year.
George Lucas is off the market
Star Wars director George Lucas is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Mellody Hobson. A spokeswoman for Lucasfilm Ltd. confirmed the couple’s engagement after dating for 7 years. The 68-year-old director is best known for creating the wildly popular “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” movie franchises.
Hobson, a 43-year-old investment firm president, serves as chairman of DreamWorks Animation and is a financial contributor to ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC News reports.
Rockmond Dunbar and Maya Gilbert Are Officially Off the Market
