The story of a 3-year-old dog bite victim getting kicked out of a Jackson, MS KFC was a hoax, according to published reports.

The story went viral on Facebook last week after the girl's aunt wrote a post claiming the child and her grandmother were asked to leave a Kentucky Fried Chicken location because her facial scars scared the customers.

The scam resulted in "the family bilking the public and professionals for more than $135,000 in cash, as well as gifts and free surgeries," writes the Laurel Leader-Call.

Tyler Perry Helps Local Family Facing Eviction

Multimillionaire director, playwright and philanthropist Tyler Perry will open his checkbook to help a family facing eviction -- if he can find someone to make the check out to.

Xernna Nieves and her family returned hone from a Make-A-Wish event to find an eviction notice on her door. It was one of several eviction notices Nieves has received while living at the Ashley Woods Apartments in Henry County, GA.

Make-A-Wish paid for Nieves, her 16-year-old son John Williams, and his siblings to travel to Chicago to meet John's idol, NBA Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose.

Jay Z releases a statement

Barneys NY has recently come under fire for 2 alleged incidents of racial profiling involving black consumers.

In response to the avalanche of negative press surrounding his business affiliation with Barneys, Jay Z's publicist released a statement on Saturday making him out to be the victim.

"I move and speak based on facts and not emotion. I haven't made any comments because I am waiting on facts and the outcome of a meeting between community leaders and Barneys," Z was quoted as saying.

"Why am I being demonized, denounced and thrown on the cover of a newspaper for not speaking immediately?"

Chris Brown Justice for Trayvon LA

Singer Chris Brown joined LA City officials and community leaders at a Justice for Trayvon Martin walk in the South Central L.A. area known as "The Jungles" on Saturday, July 20, in Los Angeles, California. Brown gave away hundreds of pairs of free Reebok sneakers to underprivileged youngsters at the Jim Gilliam child care and recreational center.
