Rapper 2 Chainz

Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested for obstructing a police officer in Oklahoma City. The Atlanta rapper was taken into custody early Thursday morning after a nine-hour standoff with police. 2 Chainz had just performed in concert with rappers T.I. and Lil Wayne hours earlier.

UK's Daily Mail reports that the rapper's tour bus was pulled over when officers observed a broken tail light. After pulling the bus over, police detected the pungent aroma of marijuana in the air and attempted to board the bus, but the occupants locked the bus and prevented the police from boarding.

When the bus occupants refused to exit the bus, the vehicle was towed -- occupants and all -- to a nearby police training facility.

Beyonce backstage

Beyonce's massive ego -- and a spiraling recording budget -- are two of the main reasons why her new album was scrapped by her record label.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Beyonce recorded 50 songs for her as-yet-untitled album before hitting the road for her world tour.

Despite working with top music producers such as Ne-Yo, none of the resulting songs were hit-making material. And Columbia Records execs are reportedly anxious over the fact that Beyonce went out on tour after putting her album on the back burner.

Beyonce wig snatched by fan

Beyonce's wig was snatched by a fan during Monday's concert in Montreal. I prayed that a fan would snatch Beyonce's wig during her Mrs Carter World Tour, but I didn't think it would be an electronic fan. Still, it was hilarious to watch Beyonce struggling to sing while attempting to free her weave that was caught in the fan's steely blades. Beyonce's entourage, including faithful bodyguard Julius, had trouble freeing Beyonce from the fan's clutches.

Later, Beyonce tried to make light of her embarrassing wig snatching by uploading a note to her personal Tumblr account.

    Gravity can't begiiiiiiiin
To pull me out of the fan again
I felt my hair was yankiiiiiiiin'
From the fan that's always hatiiiiiiiin'

Artists join Florida boycott

Some of the music industry's heavy hitters are joining Stevie Wonder's Florida boycott following the Zimmerman acquittal in the death of Miami teenager Trayvon Martin. Industry giants Usher, Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones, *Jay Z, *Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Madonna, *Rihanna, Mary Mary, Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole, and many more have pledged not to perform in Florida until the controversial Stand Your Ground laws have been lifted in that state.

Oddly missing from the list of famous names are Jay Z's wife Beyonce and Kanye's baby mama Kim Kardashian.

The Florida boycott will cost the state of Florida millions of dollars in lost revenue and taxes -- if the artists remain committed to the cause. But some artists are already waffling on their decision to join the boycott.

    Fan slaps Beyonce's Butt

A nervous Beyonce has increased the security for her show in London on Saturday amid fears of being attacked by a former Stan-turned-stalker.

London's Daily Mail reports that the 31-year-old mother-of-one met fan Bassey Essien at a function in London in 2009, where he attempted to give her a diary full of religious notes. Since then Essien has mailed numerous letters to Beyonce.

Police can't keep Essien out of Beyonce's concert if he has a valid ticket. So Beyonce's legal team went to a London court to get a restraining order against the young man.

    Fan slaps Beyonce's Butt

Like most hot to trot women, cocktail lounge singer Beyonce believes that the way she dresses has no bearing on how she is perceived by men.

Ask any real man if he prefers leering at scantily dressed women or fully dressed women, and if he is honest, he will say he ogles the women who are dressed like sluts. That doesn't mean sluts deserve to be raped, but it doesn't help that they make themselves look like an easy target for men with ulterior motives.

Beyonce learned that lesson the hard way during her Mrs. Carter Show world tour in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Monday night, when a male fan reached up and grabbed a handful of her sequined butt.

    Beyonce backlash

Maybe this is the real reason Beyonce cancelled tonight's concert in Antwerp, Belgium?

A large photography group that services multiple news organizations has gently informed Beyonce's camp that they will blacklist Beyonce if she doesn't lift the ban on photographs taken during her Mrs Carter world tour.

In a letter sent to Beyonce's camp, an attorney for the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) pointed out that the ban imposed by Beyonce on photographers has resulted in the proliferation of "prank" photos of Beyonce that are "far more unflattering" than the ones that have gone viral.

The NPPA attorney writes: "Ending the ban is more likely to result in publication of fair, objective and mutually beneficial photographs that serve your interests and ours."

Lil Wayne pays the IRS $7 million

When Lil Wayne hits the road on July 9th with rappers T.I. and 2 Chainz for the 40-city 'America's Most Wanted' tour, rapper Future will not be with them.

"I haven't been on the road in a minute," Weezy told MTV News on May 3. "I'm ready to get back out there and I'm going out there with Future and 'em, and they're going to obviously take over; I'm just playing the back field," he said.

That same day, PepsiCo announced it was dropping Lil Wayne (and the tour) from a sponsorship contract due to offensive lyrics in one of his songs.

A burly bodyguard pounces on the fan and attempts to snatch her off of Bieber, but his momentum causes all 3 to tumble onto the stage, knocking over the piano in the scrum. All the while Bieber continues to sing as if he was uninterrupted.

    Lil Wayne apology

PepsiCo has dropped troubled rapper Lil Wayne just 2 days after his publicist wrote an "apology" letter to the family of 14-year-old civil rights icon Emmett Till.

PepsiCo, which distributes Mountain Dew, said in a statement late Friday that Wayne's offensive comparison of Till to a violent sexual act on Future's “Karate Chop” remix did "not reflect the values of our brand."

In the "apology" letter, the publicist wrote, "Moving forward, I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner.” and concluded with, "…my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community."

But Till's family dismissed the letter, saying it was a step short of an apology.

    Justin Bieber

Lately it seems troubled pop singer Justin Bieber's name has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Bieber, 19, caused a commotion when he showed up 2 hours late for a concert at London's 02 Arena in March. Then he feigned breathing problems to gain sympathy from his fans and the press.

He followed those antics up by leaving an insulting message in the visitor's log at Holocaust victim Anne Frank's memorial center. Now comes word that Swedish police found pot and a stun gun on Bieber's tour bus on Wednesday. His 15 minutes aren't up yet?

    Kanye West tantrum

The blogosphere is once again buzzing about yet another Kanye West meltdown onstage Sunday. During a live performance of his 2006 hit record "Touch The Sky" at London's Hammersmith Apollo Theater, Kanye screamed like a banshee in heat before throwing down his mic and sulking off the stage.
