A hapless thug picked the wrong convenience store to rob in Brazil recently. Inside the store were four off-duty plain clothes police officers carrying concealed weapons.

Surveillance footage from inside the store shows the criminal was shot multiple times during the robbery on May 31st.

A quick-thinking convenience store clerk snatched a baby out of the arms of a woman who suffered a seizure and collapsed to the floor.

Rebecca Montano, of Colorado, said she was playing with the 3-month-old baby while ringing up a soda transaction for the customer.

Skyy Mims mugshot

A 21-year-old model/singer from Detroit was arrested Tuesday in the stabbing death of a Dalton, GA store clerk, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The AJC reports Skyy Raven Marie Mims was arrested around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Bartow County.

She was charged with murder, and booked into the Whitfield County jail.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Mims stabbed 37-year-old Dahyabhai Chaudhari at Kanku’s Express in Dalton on Sunday night. Chaudhari is a citizen of India who had only been in Atlanta a few weeks.

Female clerk punched

A California man is being held in jail on $100K bond for viciously punching a female store clerk in a dispute over 41 cents.

Kendrick Ruth was arrested at a Long Beach, California on Wednesday and charged with assault after the police received tips from the public.

The brutal attack occurred at a Lakewood, California Chevron gas station on Sept. 7, NBC Los Angeles reports.

According to the clerk, Yadira Lara, the customer attempted to pay for a $1.41 cigar with a one dollar bill.

Lara said he became agitated when she told him he needed 41 cents more.

Trayvon Martin

The woman who was on the phone with Trayvon Martin when he was confronted and shot by George Zimmerman inside a gated community took the witness stand today.

Rachel Jeantel, 19, told jurors she was not Trayvon’s girlfriend. She recounted the phone conversation she had with Trayvon before he was shot to death by the self-appointed neighborhood watchman inside the Retreat at Twin Lakes subdivision in February.

Speaking almost in a whisper, Jeantel said Trayvon used the N-word several times as she described what she heard Martin say to a male. She said Trayvon told her the man was following him as he returned to his father’s fiancee’s home from a convenience store. He described the man as “creepy” and a “cracker.”
