Emma Watson revealed she sat in therapy for hours because she felt guilty about early stardom. Watson, who gained overnight fame playing Hermione Granger in Harry Potter films, was only 9 years old when fame came calling.

"I was nine years old and I was literally picked out of a line-up in my school gym that wasn't even an acting school and got the first part I ever auditioned for, and it's so bizarre and otherworldly what happened to me," said the 29-year-old Aries in a sit-down interview with British Vogue magazine..

The British-transplant wasn't prepared for early stardom and the fanatical star-struck fandom that comes with it.

"I've struggled a lot with the guilt around that. I'm like, I should be enjoying this a lot more, I should be more excited and I'm actually really struggling," she added.

Watson trended on Twitter.com on Tuesday after coining the term "self-partnered" to describe happily single women like herself.

She is voluntarily single after dating men including fellow actors Chord Overstreet and a brief fling with Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton.

"I never believed the whole 'I'm happy single' spiel," she told the magazine. "I was like, 'This is totally spiel.' It took me a long time, but I'm very happy (being single). I call it being self-partnered."

She said she feels anxiety and pressure to get married and have a baby by the time she turns 30 on April 15, 2020.

The term "self-partnered" caught fire on Twitter.com and sparked debate between single ladies and married people who say being single is overrated.

Emma Watson hates being referred to as a "single" lady, so she has coined a new term to describe people like herself who are happy being single. She prefers to call herself "self-partnered".

The 29-year-old Harry Potter actress has dated fellow actors including Chord Overstreet and a brief fling with Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton.

However, according to WENN.com, in a new interview with Britain's Vogue magazine, Emma revealed she's not currently seeing anyone, and is "very happy" with her single status right now.

"I never believed the whole 'I'm happy single' spiel," she told the magazine. "I was like, 'This is totally spiel.' It took me a long time, but I'm very happy (being single). I call it being self-partnered."

Despite her assurance that she's happy being single, Emma added that her single status does give her anxiety in certain aspects of her life. She feels pressure to get married and have a baby by the time she turns 30 on April 15, 2020.

"Cut to 29, and I'm like, 'Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious," said Watson. "And I realize it's because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around. If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you're not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you're still figuring things out… There's just this incredible amount of anxiety."

In America, more people are choosing to remain single. Over 36 million Americans are single and that number is growing daily. Corporations are taking notice and catering to single people.

"Things like marriage, having children -- where previously a lot of weight was put upon that -- they're putting those things off a little more so they're staying single longer," said Melissa Meredith, a marketing specialist for Creative Collabs.

Emma Watson graduates from Brown

Emma Watson has 99 problems and a stalker is one. The 24-year-old "Harry Potter" actress has dealt with stalkers since she was 16.

In 2012, a man approached Watson in the woods where she was filming "Noah" in Oyster Bay, Long Island. Watson recognized the man who had been lurking outside her house. Her sudden screams attracted security who ran the guy off.

Watson also received threatening letters on the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island last year. The university provided their superstar student with security.
