The fallout from Sony’s cyber hacking scandal continues.

Sony has announced the cancellation of a major press junket for comedian Kevin Hart‘s new movie Wedding Ringer. It isn’t hard to figure out why the press junket was canceled. Last week, two of Sony’s top execs called Hart a greedy “whore” because he refused to promote one of his movies on Twitter.com.

Reality TV and radio personality Porsha Williams may have purchased over 1 million followers on social media platform Instagram.com. But she’s not the only one.

According to lifestyle blogger Tami of Talkingwithtami.com, an app is exposing celebrities and companies on Instagram who may have padded their follow count by purchasing followers. Williams seems to be one of the main offenders on IG. Her 1,100,000 followers are mostly bogus accounts that she (or her rep) purchased along the way.

“Catfish’ or ‘Catfished’ are terms used to describe people who become emotionally attached to fake social media profiles. Oftentimes the person who runs the social media account is not who they claim to be.

People who get emotionally attached to fake online profile’s — or to online profiles in general — usually have some form of emotional or personality defect that allows them to become victims so easily.

Luckily, that was not the case with four unnamed NFL players who were almost ‘Catfished’ by @RedRidnH00d, a woman (or man) on Twitter.com, who used pictures of an Internet adult entertainer, C.J. Miles, to seduce the athletes into establishing a rapport with her.
