A homeless man allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's Nashville apartment and stabbed her and her 13-year-old son to death in a vicious attack that left a 16-year-old girl hospitalized.

Police say Jermaine Agee broke into Mayra Garcia's apartment before 2 a.m. Monday morning. He grabbed a kitchen knife and went straight to the bedrooms.

After fatally stabbing Garcia's son, Jaden Taylor, in his bed, Agee ordered Garcia and her teen daughter, Alexis, to sit on a sofa in the living room.

Agee then said, "Someone is going to die tonight," according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE.

Garcia fought for her life, and "additional injuries to the victims were inflicted then," the police statement says.

Police say Garcia and Jaden died from stab wounds. Alexis is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she is being treated for stab wounds. An 8-year-old girl was not injured.

Agee fled the apartment through the front door, but he was eventually tracked down with the assistance of members of the public.

Homeless persons told police that Agee was a regular at a nearby homeless encampment.

Police say Agee is a convicted felon in Alabama who served nearly 3 years in prison for robbery and theft convictions before his release in June 2018.

Prior to the violence, police were called to an elementary school where Garcia and Agee were arguing in the school's office.

Agee left the school before police arrived. Police observed several bruises on Garcia's face. They assisted her with filing an order of protection against Agee.

A GoFundMe account was created to help pay the funeral costs. The campaign raised nearly $16,000 of the $20,000 goal.

Drake opened up about his unresolved daddy issues in a revealing post on his Instagram stories. The 32-year-old Canadian-born rapper was upset that his dad, retired musician Dennis Graham, exposed his lies in an interview with Nick Cannon.

Graham said Drake, who often raps about his absenteeism, tells lies about him to sell records.

"I had a conversation with Drake about that. I have always been with Drake. I talk to him if not every day, then every other day. We really got into a deep conversation about that. I said, 'Drake, why are you saying all of this different stuff about me? This is not cool.' He [said], 'Dad, it sells records.' Okay, well, cool."

Drake, an emotional Scorpio, was saddened and dismayed by his father's remarks.

"Woke up today so hurt man," Drake wrote in his IG Stories.

"My father will say anything to anyone that's willing to listen to him. It's sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that's the people we are stuck with… every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept."

Drake's lyrics are inspired by his early life experiences. He was raised by his single mother, Sandi Graham, 59, in Toronto, and spent short summers with his father in Memphis, Tennessee.

In his rap lyrics, Drake claims his father wasn't around to instill manliness in him.

The lack of a male role model in his life is apparent in Drake's feminine tendencies and his inability to maintain stable relationships with women.

Ladies man: Dennis Graham is pictured above with his girlfriend in Los Angeles earlier this year.

In 2017, Drake fathered a son with artist and former adult film star Sophie Brussaux, whom he had only met twice before she fell pregnant.

Drake rapped about his son on his album Scorpion:

"Single father, I hate when I hear it
I used to challenge my parents on every album
Now I'm embarrassed to tell 'em I ended up as a co-parent
    Always promised the family unit
I wanted it to be different because I been through it
But this is the harsh truth now."

At barely 5-feet-2 inches and 110 pounds, rap newcomer YNW Melly is not an imposing figure in his mugshots. Before he was arrested for double murder, the 19-year-old Florida rapper surrounded himself with grimy gangsters-turned-rap wannabes who were born and raised in the same small town he called home in South Florida.
