American gay and lesbian troops stationed in Japan performed in the first ever drag show on a U.S. military base.

The gay and lesbian troop members performed in drag — wearing full makeup, heels and wigs — while lip syncing to hit songs such as “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” at the Kadena Air Base in Japan, Theweek.com reports.

A Colombian Councilman has denounced Colombia’s national treasure Shakira for helping Bajan singer Rihanna to — in his words — “promote lesbianism” in Shakira’s new music video.

Marco Fidel Ramirez, a conservative Christian politician from Bogota, tweeted that Shakira’s music video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” was “simply disgusting” and an “unabashed glorification of lesbianism.”

In the music video, Shakira and Rihanna wear skimpy bathing suits and caress each other passionately.

Gulf countries testing gay travelers

Kuwait and other Gulf states are planning to test travelers with a chemical designed to detect gay people — and bar them from entering the country.

UK’s Daily Mail reports the Gulf Corporation member countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — already ban homosexual sex acts as unlawful.

Kuwait plans to use a test to detect the health status of travelers — specifically testing for diseases and conditions known to afflict gays, such as HIV, pneumocystis carinii pneumonia and Kaposi’s Sarcoma.
