Moonlight

Who said a movie with a majority black cast can’t win awards unless the main character plays a maid or a crack addict?

Moonlight is about a black boy named Chiron who grows up in a rough part of Miami and finally accepts his homosexuality after longing for a boyhood pal.

A disturbing video is making the rounds of social networking websites today. The video shows Russian Neo-Nazi skinheads interrogating, and then assaulting, a gay teenager who answered an ad for sex with an older man.

Gay groups claim the skinheads are conducting campaigns called “Occupy Pedophilyaj” and “Occupy Gerontilyaj” — to stamp out pedophilia in Russia. The campaign is led by Russian ultranationalist Maxim Martsinkevich who purports to “identify and report pedophiles.”

But the main activity of the group seems to be luring gay boys and torturing them with the intent of outing them to their families and communities.

“We do not like homosexuals,” the leader of one local gathering explained, according to a HuffPost translation. “If it was up to me, I’d kill them but the government doesn’t allow that.”

Pediatrician group says gay is normal

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released its new policy advising doctors to fight “homophobia” and “heterosexism” by advising all children that homosexuality is “normal.”

The pediatrician’s group doesn’t explain how homosexuality is normal, but it suggests that heterosexuality should not be considered society’s sexual standard going forward.

Boy Scouts Vote to Admit Openly Gay Boys Yesterday, the Boy Scouts of America voted to admit openly gay boys for the first time. But Pascal Tessier, 16, has mixed feelings about the historic decision. At 16, he is one step away from earning his Eagle Scout — the highest honor for a Boy Scout. He is also openly gay.

“I was thinking that today could be my last day as a Boy Scout,” Tessier said. “Obviously, for gay Scouts like me, this vote is life-changing.”

Tessier is concerned that he will be kicked out of the organization when he turns 18.

That’s because, despite ongoing pressure from gay rights advocates and corporate sponsors, the Boy Scouts of America remains resistant to allowing openly gay scout leaders.

“That one couple hours (between 17 and 18) will make me not a good person,” Tessier said.
