Otis Byrd, 54, was reported missing nearly 3 weeks ago. His body was found hanging from a tree in a wooded area in Claiborne County in western Mississippi, about half a mile from his home.

Mike Brown

The results of a private autopsy conducted on the body of Michael Brown, the unarmed 18-year-old who was shot and killed by a Ferguson, Mo. cop on Aug. 9, shows Brown was not shot in the back as previously reported by witnesses.

The preliminary autopsy results show Brown was shot at least six times in the front -- 4 times in his right arm, once in the right eye and one shot to the top of the head, according to the report obtained by The New York Times.

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida

Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Apollo Nida is working on a plea deal with the federal government to avoid a trial, according to the AJC's Rodney Ho (via Radar Online).

Any plea deal will involve prison time for Nida who was arrested in January and charged with bank fraud and identity theft.

On Friday, Sandrarose.com broke the news that the husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks was arrested on charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. Apollo Nida, 35, surrendered to U.S. Marshalls and was placed under arrest on Thursday, Jan. 23. Reality TV fans were sent reeling by the news. The federal government is going after former NBA great Dennis Rodman for violating U.S. sanctions on luxury imports into North Korea, the Daily Beast reports.

The U.S. Treasury Department is investigating Rodman to see if the thousands of dollars in birthday gifts he gave to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un violated a law prohibiting the importing of luxury goods into North Korea. The law, signed in 2010 by President Obama, requires a license to transport luxury goods into North Korea. Rodman did not apply for such a license.

7-Eleven stores raided

Nine owners of 7-Eleven stores in Long Island were arrested in a human smuggling scheme that exploited and abused illegal immigrants. The feds also plan to raid an additional 40 7-Eleven stores in NY and Virginia, The NY Times reports.

9 people -- 8 men and 1 woman -- were taken into custody in NY, and charged with wire fraud, identity theft and other charges. Among the arrested were alleged ring leader Farrukh Baig, left, and his wife, Bushra Baig.
