NBA legend Michael Jordan has earned another magazine cover — along with his very own AARP card. Somehow, I don’t think he will be pleased with his latest achievement.
Jordan, who turned 50 on Feb. 17, probably doesn’t want to be reminded that he’s getting old. The Charlotte Bobcats owner has been engaged to his longtime Cuban girlfriend, Yvette Prieto, 35, since 2011.
Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player breathing, but he forgot that in certain parts of the country he’s just a black man wearing cargo pants.
The NY Post’s Page Six reports that Jordan ruffled feathers at the exclusive Miami Beach country club when he showed up on the putting green wearing cargo pants.
The Jordan brand has released images of its latest product: snow boots inspired by the iconic “Black/Cement” Air Jordan 3 sneakers. The hideous Zoom Kaiju snow boot features an “upper of tumbled black leather with elephant print paneling at the heel and toe, the boot comes lined in red mesh with a grey tongue,” according to Thatsenuff.com.
The “Black/Cement” Nike Zoom Kaiju boots are available now from Nike’s online store for $350 USD.
