Ciara Wilson drops new music titled "Melanin" featuring Lupita Nyong'o's rap persona "Troublemaker", Ester Dean, City Girls and La La Anthony. The single celebrates dark skinned women and the men who love them.

"This is ultimately an anthem of self-love, which is a journey I've been on since my Beauty Marks album," says Ciara. "It celebrates the beautiful shades of culture that comprise the inner and outer beauty of everyone. Embracing the unique nature of our skin tones threads together the tapestry of humankind."

The project features Lupita's "Troublemaker" rap alter ego, first introduced last month on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

La La Anthony responded to social media followers who insist she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

The 40-year-old's character, Lakeisha Grant, was killed off in the recent episode of the Starz scripted TV series Power.

During an appearance on Power 105's The Breakfast Club, La La talked about getting her head blown off by co-star Naturi Naughton, who plays Tasha St. Patrick.

"If you're going to leave a show, then you want to leave a show with a bang, literally," she said. "You want people to talk about it. You don't just want to disappear, and nobody cares about it. I feel like this is a moment people will always talk about."

But La La's tone changed when discussing fans hating on her acting.

She challenged her haters to do better, saying:

"You got to be worried when people aren't talking. My thing is that… I'm doing it. So, if I couldn't do it, then why am I doing it? If you can do it better then why you not getting the [acting] jobs I'm getting?"

She also talked about her new role on Lena Waith's The Chi.

"These people aren't just giving me jobs because I'm me. They can hire anyone. They're giving me jobs because I go in there and I put the work in. And I also bring a following with me. I have almost 10 million followers on Instagram. People watch what I do. What's the point of having these great shows if nobody's watching them? You want people to watch. So, If you can do it better then you bring your 10 million followers and you do what I do."

La La said she didn't allow her 12-year-old son, Kiyan, to watch the series but she was comfortable letting him watch her die in the last episode.

La La Anthony opened up about her struggles raising her teenage son as a single mom during an appearance on The View on Thursday. She said Kiyan Anthony, 12, refuses to be featured on her social media pages after years of having his photos taken without his permission. "He doesn't want me to take any pictures of him and he doesn't want to be in any pictures with me," Anthony said. "That's for sure. He never gives me approval. Even yesterday when I took pictures, he goes, 'Don't post that. Whatever you do, just don't post that.'"

La La Anthony was spotted trailing behind Kim Kardashian again. Black Twitter says La La looked dead behind the eyes. I don't see it. But why does La La always walk behind Kim? Doesn't she realize that makes her look like a follower and not a leader?
