President Obama praised today’s Supreme Court’s decision to strike down certain provisions in the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The court also overturned Prop 8 allowing gays to marry in California.

In its decision, the court cleared the way for states that allow gay marriage to pay federal benefits to married gay couples. But 36 states still ban gay marriage and those states will not be affected by today’s supreme court ruling.

In a statement following the court’s ruling, Obama said he would not force religious institutions to hold gay weddings.

Charice Pempengco lesbian

Remember cute little golden voiced singer Charice Pempengco who was plucked from obscurity by Oprah Winfrey? Now 21, Charice came out as a lesbian on a Filipino talk show on Sunday.

Breaking down in tears during an interview on ABS-CBN TV, Charice apologized to her mother and brother in her native Filipino language for revealing her lesbian lifestyle in such a public forum.

Calling herself a “tomboy” she said, “I don’t know what the problem with that is because for me, that isn’t a problem.” Charice added: “To all those who will accept me, thank you very, very much.”

Charice said she was relieved that she could now “leave my house without hiding anything.”

Reality TV star La La Anthony is everywhere these days. The ‘Full Court Life’ star Instagram’d this photo of herself posing with ‘Law and Order’ star Mariska Hargitay today. Hargitay, 49, who is rumored to be a lesbian, recently adopted a black infant. La La made a guest appearance on the popular cop drama. La La also posted pics of The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, 57, her son Kiyan Anthony, 5, posing with NBA legend Michael Jordan, 50, and her lesbun cousin Dice hugging The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, 45.
