Mariah Carey is still upset after being called "ni**erish" by comedian Sandra Bernhard during a 1998 comedy routine.

The pop singer told Naomi Campbell about the controversial moment from Sandra's standup comedy special I'm Still Here... Damn It!, when the comedienne accused Mariah of exploiting her biracial ethnicity to further her career.

"She's trying to backtrack on our asses by acting real ni**erish there at the Royalton Hotel suite with Puff Daddy and all the greasy, chain-wearing Black men," Bernhard said during her TV special.

Mariah told Naomi: "I wish I would have called you back when it happened because I was so upset and nobody came to my rescue at that point. But whatever, I can't – it's ignorance."

Naomi called Bernhard's insult "rude and disrespectful" as well as being "completely racist".

"People can be very hurtful," Naomi said, "but one of the things that hurt me, because I care about you and I care about the past, was what Sandra said. I was just like, 'Are you for real?' How did that even slide by?" she continued.

Gesturing at Mariah, who is biracial, Naomi added: "You are Black. You have every right. You are working also, in a professional capacity. I just felt like, now, I wanted to clear that up because I was p**sed."

Mariah is the daughter of former opera singer Patricia, of Irish descent, and Alfred, an aeronautical engineer of Black and Afro-Venezuelan descent.

Mariah Carey didn't have sex with her billionaire fiancé James Packer, according to her new book.

The "Touch My Body" singer and James got engaged in January 2016 after a whirlwind romance - but they called off their wedding that October without explanation.

Mariah never mentioned her relationship with the Australian media mogul in her new memoir, and the star says that's because their engagement has no significance to her, as they never had a "physical relationship".

"If it was a relationship that mattered, it's in the book. If not, it didn't occur," she tells The Guardian. "We didn't have a physical relationship, to be honest with you."

This may explain why James packed up his things and left Mariah standing at the altar. A man can only hold his horses for so long.

The 50-year-old Aries previously claimed she only slept with five people in her life. She was married twice - to Tommy Mottola and Nick Cannon - and shares 2 kids with Nick. She is currently in a relationship with her back-up dancer and choreographer Bryan Tanaka, 37.

Asked if she agrees with claims that she's "high-maintenance," Mariah snapped, "You know what? I don't give a s**t. I f**king am high-maintenance because I deserve to be at this point. That may sound arrogant, but I hope you frame it within the context of coming from nothing."

She added: "If I can't be high-maintenance after working my a** off my entire life, oh, I'm sorry – I didn't realize we all had to be low-maintenance. Hell, no! I was always high-maintenance, it's just I didn't have anyone to do the maintenance when I was growing up!"

Mariah's memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, is in stores now.

A fling with baseball great Derek Jeter served as the "catalyst" for Mariah Carey's divorce from her ex-husband Tommy Mottola.

The superstar and the music mogul separated in 1998 after Carey was caught creeping with the promiscuous NY Yankees superstar. Carey confesses her romance with the sportsman made her realize she wanted out of her loveless marriage.

Carey, best known for her 5-octave vocal range, was married to Mottola from June 1993 until March 1998. Mottola was 12 years her senior.

Promoting her upcoming memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, on The Oprah Conversation, the singer said, "[Jeter] was a catalyst that helped me get out of that relationship because I believed that there was somebody else [for me]."

Carey, pictured with then-husband Mottola in 1996, stopped short of calling Jeter the love of her life: "I didn't think I would ever meet anybody who wouldn't... feel superior to me... But he was a catalyst. And I think that it was beautiful."

Mariah, 50, recently revealed her romance with the former New York Yankees star inspired two of her songs - "The Roof" and "My All."

She and ex-husband Nick Cannon share twins - son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. They separated in 2014.

Following the announcement, a host of famous faces took to social media to pay tribute to the late star, with Frozen actor Josh Gad among the first.

"I'm in absolute shock. What a beautiful and amazing actress and person. So sad to hear of her passing at such a young age," he wrote. "My heart goes out to John Travolta and the entire family. What a loss.”

"Sending so much love to you and your family in this heartbreaking moment," Mariah wrote, while Dae Kim, a former co-star of Kelly's, added in his own tribute: "I was lucky enough to work with her on one of my very first films, For Love of the Game. We were shooting on cold days in Colorado, but she couldn’t have been warmer or kinder to a young, nervous actor trying to make good. I'll never forget that. Thank you Kelly."

Back to the Future star Lea Thompson was another of Kelly's former castmates to remember the actress, sharing pictures from the set of their 1986 movie Space Camp and writing: "I am so very sad to hear of my old friend @therealkellypreston passing. We had so much fun making #spacecamp all those many years ago. She was always full of love and light and Hawaiian breeziness.

"Kelly was so beautiful inside and out. Went way too young. #heartbroken for her whole family #breastcancerawareness is so important. Hold each other close and let's keep fighting for a cure."

And author and activist Maria Shriver wrote: "Shocked by this sad news. Kelly was such a bright loving soul, a talented actress, and a loving mom and wife. My heart breaks for her family who have already known such sadness and grief. Join me in sending them love and strength.

Kanye West has backed out of pastor Joel Osteen's virtual Easter concert over safety concerns for his Sunday Service choir.

The 42-year-old rapper had been slated to join actor/director Tyler Perry and singer Mariah Carey for Osteen's remote holiday Easter worship service, which will be livestreamed from his Lakewood megachurch in Houston, Texas on Easter Sunday, April 12.

The original plan called for the choir to wear face masks and maintain social distancing while recording songs with Kanye for the gig, but the "Jesus Walks" rapper decided that he could not satisfy his artistic expectations and safety concerns with these arrangements, so he called off the appearance, TMZ reports.

TMZ adds discussions were ongoing up until Good Friday, but the "Jesus is King" star ultimately couldn't make his plan work to his satisfaction.

The Easter Sunday service will be broadcast live over Osteen's megachurch feed at Joelosteen.com at both 9.30am EST and 12pm EST.

Eminem responded to Nick Cannon's diss track that implies a sex tape exists that shows him in a compromising position with another man.

On Monday, Nick dropped his diss track, titled "The Invitation". The track was in response to Eminem calling out Nick's ex-wife, pop star Mariah Carey, in a verse on Fat Joe's new track "Lord Above".

Eminem also called the entertainment mogul "whipped" and "neutered" among other insults.

"I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note/But that other dude's whipped, that pussy got him neutered/Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon' do shit/I let her chop my balls off too, 'fore I lost to you, Nick."

On T.I.'s podcast ExpediTIously, Nick said he responded to Eminem's insults to prove to his ex-wife that he's a man. The 39-year-old Libra said he went to Detroit looking for the Slim Shady rap star.

"I called managers," Nick said. "I gotta show my wife I'm a man. I said, 'I know I'm not gonna be able to out rap you but I will whoop your ass.' Those were the exact words at the time. Cooler heads prevailed."

"The Invitation" features an intro from imprisoned Death Row Records founder Suge Knight calling out Eminem before Nick raps:

"I heard your chauffeur got a video of you suckin' a c**k
You paid him off, then laid him off, now who really the opp?
Suge called me the new 'Pac, I ain't no killer but don't push me
How the f**k y'all got me battlin' Elvis Pussly?"

In response to a tweet by HotNewHipHop.com, Nick said Eminem unleashed his lawyers.

"FACTS! His lawyers didn't want that one out! They already on my line," Nick tweeted.

Eminem waited until Monday night to respond to Nick's diss. The 47-year-old Libra demanded an apology from Nick.

Eminem tweeted: "U mad bro? Stop lying on my d**k. I never even had a chauffeur, you bougie f**k."

He later added: "I demand an apology Nicholas, you've made my gardener so jealous!"

Their feud stems from an ongoing beef between Mariah and Eminem that dates back to 2009, when she released the hit single "Obsessed", about a man who claims to be having a relationship with her. An accompanying visual featured the "Hero" singer dressed to look like Eminem

According to HotNewHipHop.com, a furious Nick dropped his response track on Monday, Dec. 9, after taking the weekend off to dig up dirt on Eminem.

On the track, an old skool rapper mentions Eminem's family, his apparent affinity for crack cocaine, and that supposed sex tape involving Eminem with another man.

"I heard your chauffeur got a video of you sucking a c*ck/ You paid him off then lead him off/ Now who really the opps."

Nick said Eminem didn't waste any time sending his lawyers to address the diss track. Responding to a tweet by HotNewHipHop.com, Nick said Eminem's attorneys contacted him about that verse.

"FACTS! His lawyers didn't want that one out," Nick tweeted. "They already on my line."

Nick's claims sparked a frenzy on social media among Eminem's fans who compared notes and scoured old social media posts and Eminem's lyrics for any hint as to who the other male might be.
