South Africa’s first black president Nelson Mandela passed away at his home today. He was 95. Tributes and condolences flooded social networking websites as world leaders, former presidents, celebrities and citizens of the world remembered the anti-apartheid civil rights leader.
President Obama spoke on Mandela’s passing from the White House about 45 minutes after the announcement that Mandela had died.
“He no longer belongs to us. He belongs to the ages,” said Obama, borrowing the words of Edwin M. Stanton, who, as Abraham Lincoln lay on his deathbed, said “He now belongs to the ages.”
Ciara just Instagram’ed this photo of her mini baby bump moments ago. Doesn’t she look spectacular? She has great genes. Ciara probably won’t look pregnant anywhere except her belly — just like Monica Brown.

Just saw Shannon Brown from the Lakers at attack athletics practicing on the court next to us. No big deal.

According to the rumor mill, the Los Angeles Lakers plan to sign free agent Shannon Brown who was cut by the Washington Wizards, despite a $3.5 million guaranteed contract. The announcement will be made today or Monday at the latest.
Brown, 27, was spotted practicing at a sports facility in
Los Angeles Chicago today.
R&B Diva Monica Brown, 32, accompanied her 8-year-old son Rodney Ramone Hill III, a.k.a. Rocko, on a school field trip to the Chick-Fil-A headquarters in Atlanta. Proud mom and son posed for a photo with Dan Cathy, the president of Chick-Fil-A. The field trip included a behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities. Monica tweeted: “thanks to Mr Moy we were able to bring Rockos class on a behind the scenes tour of the 75acre Chick-Fil-A headquarters #FieldTrip.”
R&B Diva Monica Brown posted photos of her three adorable children, Rocko, Romelo and Laiyah, on her Instagram page last week. Monica is with her family in Arizona where her husband Shannon Brown plays for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns. Other celebrities who recently gave birth, including Tamar Braxton and Kim Kardashian, are low key jealous of Monica, who looks like she was never pregnant. Unlike Beyonce (who many believe was never pregnant), Monica doesn’t have to fake a pregnancy. Mo has good genes which helps her body to melt off baby fat.
R&B Diva Monica Brown’s father, M.C. “Billy” Arnold Jr., was diagnosed with kidney failure on the same day that her daughter Laiyah Shannon Brown was born. Monica shared the sad news with her 1.8 million followers on Twitter.com yesterday. Monica tweeted a touching Instagram photo of her father cradling his granddaughter. In the caption, she wrote: “The same day our daughter was born my father was admitted. Dr’s say Kidney failure. I just stay in prayer because I know God never fails!!!”
Finally got to meet & hold my new God daughter Laiyah Shannon Brown! She is so gorgeous just as I… http://t.co/GUd30Dm9bR
