The Onion apologizes for insulting a 9-year-old
After enduring intense pressure and scorn for using offensive language toward a 9-year-old, someone over at satirical website The Onion jotted down a quick apology to 9-year-old Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis and posted it to the website’s Facebook page.

Actress Zoe Saldana was spotted on the set of ‘Nina’ in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday. Saldana, 34, was chosen to play the late jazz musician and classical pianist Nina Simone from a list of more qualified actresses and singers. Saldana has not responded to the furor over her attempts to look more ethnic by darkening her skin with makeup and wearing afro wigs to simulate Nina’s tight curls. Saldana’s father is Dominican and her mother is Puerto Rican.
