Did you really think Jay-Z would let Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj beat his wife, Beyonce, to the top of the Billboard chart?

Doja and Nicki made history this week when their remix "Say So" raced to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, easily defeating Beyonce and newcomer Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" remix.

Billboard is now investigating an anonymous tip that Doja and Nicki may have purchased illegitimate streams from fans outside the US.

Tweets have surfaced about fans using VPN's (Virtual Private Networks) to make it seem like they are in the US when they are not.

If true, @DojaCat & @NickiMinaj's long awaited #1 will be taken from them and removed from the charts, making Beyonce and Megan No. 1.

Coincidentally, Jay-Z was accused of falsifying streams for his TIDAL streaming app.

Rap artist A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is the latest rapper to experience low album sales after promoting his music on social media.

The Bronx rapper's current album HOODIE SZN is the country's No. 1 album, but his album sales hit rock bottom at a total of 823 physical copies sold.

Aretha Franklin Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj was bumped out of the #1 spot by Aretha Franklin's 30 Greatest Hits album on Thursday. Streaming sales of the queen of soul's music surged on iTunes after Aretha lost her prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer at age 76.
