Over the weekend, I heard from an insider who told me Real Housewives of Atlanta alumni Nene Leakes is broke again after spending money like water all over town. According to the source, Nene spent over $200K on pricey Rolex watches and diamond jewelry for herself and her on-again, off-again husband, Greg Leakes. She also went on a shopping spree in Atlanta, buying expensive trinkets for herself to wear on the show.
But when it comes to paying her taxes, Nene comes up short.
According to Hip Hop Daily Press, Nene owes $25,000 in back taxes for property she owned in Sacramento, Calif. No wonder Nene begged for her old job back on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
I didn’t watch NeNe Leakes’ wedding reality TV show because I know it’s just another fake, scripted reality TV show. But a lot of you still cling to the belief that grown women behave like the broads on this show.
NeNe Leakes may regret some of the choices she made for her million dollar wedding.
When she selected a roster of reality stars including Cynthia Bailey, Laura Govan, Marlo Hampton and Jennifer Williams to be her bridesmaids, she had no idea what would follow.
This week, we watched Diana Gowins lay into Marlo for being “loose” and “opportunistic,” on I Dream of Nene: The Wedding and the ladies say that’s just the beginning of the chaos.
In a recent interview with the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Nene revealed some of her friendships have been damaged by the drama.
“It affected our relationship; I have to say. A few of these girls I was very close to,” she said. “Our relationship was definitely affected.”
All of the bridesmaids’ bickering put a damper on Nene’s big day.
“They totally forgot that I am a bride. They forgot the role of a bridesmaid,” she said. “They have a lot of attitude.”
While Nene didn’t choose a Maid of Honor, Cynthia was the one by her side at the alter.
“I was first and I don’t know what that means. I definitely got the party started,” said Cynthia. “I don’t know if that symbolizes anything special, but I definitely felt honored that [husband Peter Thomas and I] were the first ones to come out.”

Chuck Smith’s wife, Mynique, must be bored with her life as a football coach’s wife and she needs some attention.
Mynique, pictured left with Nene Leakes, was spotted in Savannah, GA., filming an upcoming episode of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Mynique has 4 kids with Smith, the former defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons. I’m sure she has a story to tell about her husband’s wandering eye and all the scandalous rumors surrounding their marriage.
NBC quietly canceled its groundbreaking gay sitcom “The New Normal” after just one season on Friday. The news was met with very little fanfare from the liberal media, which stood in stark contrast to the circus atmosphere hype surrounding the show’s premiere on September 11, 2012.
The cancellation was among a long list of shows such as “Go On” and “Guys With Kids” which were also canceled Friday.
“The New Normal” was produced by Glee’s Ryan Murphy, who sought to redefine the way families are portrayed on TV. Murphy arrogantly described TNN as “changing the face of television.”
But not everyone jumped on the bandwagon. NBC affiliate KSL-TV in Utah made the decision not to run the program at all. “For our brand, this program simply feels inappropriate on several dimensions, especially during family viewing time,” said Jeff Simpson, CEO of KSL-TV’s parent company.
NeNe Leakes met her husband Greg at her place of work, a seedy strip club. Exotic dancers are more proficient at controlling their emotions to avoid the temptations of falling for every man who tosses a dollar their way. That explains why, when real love does come along, their unions tend to withstand the test of time.
Married for 14 years, the Leakes are ready to renew their vows again, In Touch Weekly reports exclusively.
“This time around, we’ll work together as a team more,” NeNe told In Touch.
If you missed last night’s episode of RHOA, you didn’t miss much. Kandi Burruss and her fiance Todd Tucker discussed prenuptial agreements and using a surrogate to carry their baby so she doesn’t gain unnecessary weight. Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore filmed their workout videos. NeNe Leakes and her husband Greg discussed living on separate coasts, and Porsha emptied an entire bottle of visine on her face for her totally staged crying scenes. Like I said, you didn’t miss much.
