THe NYPD shut down a store that was set to sell the new $250 Supreme/Nike Air Foamposite sneakers on Thursday.
Police dispersed about 300 sneaker heads (mostly blacks and Hispanics) who lined up outside Supreme New York on Lafayette Street Thursday morning. Most of them were unaware that the NYPD cancelled the sale of the colorful basketball shoes.
Rap mogul Jay Z, 42, patiently explained the difference between a free throw (in basketball) and a free kick (in soccer) to his clueless wife Beyonce. The singer looked so lost as she sat at court side with Michael Strahan, Nicole Murphy, and other celebrities for the much-anticipated match up between the thuggish NY Knicks and Jay Z’s Brooklyn Nets at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Monday. Jay Z’s Nets won the showdown by a score of 96-89. The Jigga owns a miniscule percentage of the former NJ Nets, which gives him bragging rights over other NY area rappers.
The Jordan brand has released images of its latest product: snow boots inspired by the iconic “Black/Cement” Air Jordan 3 sneakers. The hideous Zoom Kaiju snow boot features an “upper of tumbled black leather with elephant print paneling at the heel and toe, the boot comes lined in red mesh with a grey tongue,” according to Thatsenuff.com.
The “Black/Cement” Nike Zoom Kaiju boots are available now from Nike’s online store for $350 USD.
