A federal judge overturned a 2016 Obama era policy that protected transgenders against healthcare providers who used religious freedom to deny treatment.

Judge Reed O'Connor in the Northern District of Texas overturned the 2016 ObamaCare protections for transgenders on Tuesday.

The Obama era policy prevented insurers and providers who receive federal funds from denying patients on the basis of sex, gender identity or termination of pregnancy.

The policy required doctors and hospitals to provide "medically necessary" services to transgender individuals as long as those services were the same ones provided to other patients.

President Obama's Department of Health and Human Services defended a challenge by a group of Christian providers as well as five conservative states.

But President Trump's administration dropped the defense in 2017 after Trump took office.

LGBT advocates complain that overturning the policy will allow doctors and hospitals to deny treatment to transgenders.

Cracks have begun to appear in President Donald Trump's steely armor, as he lashed out at reports that suggested he worked with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump denied the allegations after a Washington Post report detailed an FBI investigation into Trump's alleged dealings with Russia.

The Obama administration continues to overburden the health care industry with unnecessary legislation.

Under a proposed regulation by the Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday, transgender people and cross-dressers will be allowed to share hospital rooms with patients who fit their sexual identity.

In other words, if you are a biological female, you could wake up from surgery to find a man wearing a wig sharing your hospital room.

And if you complain too loudly about sharing your room with a cross-dressing man, you could be labeled a bigot by the hospital staff.

First Lady Michelle Obama and her entourage arrive to hotel in Miami

It was like a scene out of Eddie Murphy's movie Coming To America when First Lady Michelle Obama and her entourage arrived at the swanky St. Regis Hotel in Miami today.

The streets surrounding the hotel were blocked off by motorcycle cops until the First Lady and her massive entourage entered the hotel. Mrs. Obama was escorted by at least 50 motorcade police officers, her usual Secret Service detail and additional Miami PD patrol units. Cops would not allow anyone to walk or ride their bikes on Collins Avenue until the first lady had arrived into the hotel. Cars that were forced to wait for her majesty's arrival beeped their horns in disgust and expressed their displeasure in very vocal terms at cops.

The Obama Administration failed to meet the deadline they set for millions of Americans to sign up for ObamaCare health insurance. The deadline to sign up for insurance through the government's insurance exchanges ran out on midnight Monday. Those who missed the deadline will not be eligible for Obamacare coverage that begins January 1.

But in yet another revision to the Affordable Care Act law -- which usually takes an act of Congress to implement -- the Obama Administration extended the deadline another 24 hours -- through Christmas.

Obamacare creator

Zeke Emanuel, the mastermind behind the disastrous Obamacare health insurance legislation (Affordable Care Act) appeared as a guest on FOX News Sunday. The host, Chris Wallace, asked Emanuel bluntly if President Obama lied when he told millions of Americans they could keep their doctor.

CHRIS WALLACE: "President Obama famously promised, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Doesn't that turn out to be just as false, just as misleading, as his promise about if you like your plan, you can keep your plan? Isn't it a fact, sir, that a number, most, in fact, of the Obamacare health plans that are being offered on the exchanges exclude a number of doctors and hospitals to lower costs?"

Zeke Emanuel: "The president never said you were going to have unlimited choice of any doctor in the country you want to go to."

The insurance companies reacted with anger to Obama's speech today.

President Obama

President Obama on Thursday apologized to Americans for lying to them about keeping their insurance policies when his problem-plagued Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, launched.

"I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," Obama told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.

Approximately 3.5 million Americans received letters from their insurance companies informing them that their policies would be canceled. Some Americans had the same policies for decades. Now they face higher premiums for coverage they don't need, such as maternity coverage for men.

"We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this," said Obama whose approval rating plunged to 39 percent this week.
