Tristan Thompson (left) was ejected from the Cleveland Cavaliers' game against the Memphis Grizzlies for trying to slap Memphis star Jae Crowder on the butt.

There was a time when the butt slap in sports was an expected part of the game. Players slapped each other on the butt as a way of saying "good job" or to motivate their teammates.

But with the increased focus on homosexuality and transgenderism in the media, the butt slap gesture has fallen out of favor with many macho players.

WENN.com reports the incident happened after Cavaliers star Thompson made his first of two free throws during the game on Friday, Jan. 17.

Crowder was walking near the free-throw line to leave the game when Khloe Kardashian's ex reached to give him a pat on the backside - which Crowder immediately rejected by slapping Thompson's hand away.

While the referee closest to the action let the gesture slide, another ref blew his whistle and gave Thompson his second technical foul of the game, which resulted in an automatic ejection.

Explaining the incident after the match, the part-time reality TV star commented:

"They might have taken it the wrong way probably because they forgot that, I don't know, we were teammates for half the year, so it feels like playing anyone else, like if I was playing Kyrie (Irving) or something. The same thing. They teched us. I'm definitely calling the PA (Players Association) to appeal that - one thousand per cent."

Thompson and Crowder were previously Cavaliers teammates from 2017 to 2018.

The Memphis Grizzlies won the game 113-109.

Wendy Williams chastised NFL star Odell Beckham Jr for laying hands on another man's butt over the weekend.

The incident occurred during a post-game celebration in LSU's locker room after winning the national title at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Louisiana on Monday night. The Louisiana native is an LSU alumni.

When Beckham spotted an officer bending over, he stared intently at the cop's buttocks before delivering a hard slap on the cop's butt.

The New Orleans Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Beckham for "simple assault" on Thursday.

"You should've known better," said Williams, 55, on Friday's episode of her daytime talk show.

"Odell at 27 years old, you're old enough to understand political correctness in the time we live in now. You can't just slap people on the booty. He probably knows it's not right for a man to a woman or a woman to a man, but you can't even do that locker room thing. That cop wasn't playing that."

Wendy continued: "You're lucky you only got battery. What if he filed for sexual assault? ... Odell, come on, you can't play that clown mess!"

Nola.com reports that a judge declined to approve an initial warrant because it was for misdemeanor sexual battery. The judge later approved an amended warrant for simple battery.

A New Orleans judge initially declined to approve an arrest warrant for misdemeanor sexual battery against NFL star Odell Beckham Jr for butt slapping a cop.

The incident occurred during a post-game celebration in LSU's locker room after winning the national title at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Louisiana on Monday night.

When Beckham Jr. spotted an officer bending over, he couldn't help himself. He stared intently at the cop's buttocks before delivering a hard slap on the cop's butt.

According to AL.com, the police officer told LSU players they could not smoke cigars inside the locker room. But another officer allegedly told the players it was okay to smoke in the locker room.

Nola.com reports that a judge declined to approve the warrant because it was for misdemeanor sexual battery. The judge later approved an amended warrant for simple battery.

The judge's action prompted outrage on social media among #MenToo groups.

Police officers are outraged at the double standard for a celebrity football player. One officer wrote on Facebook: "If one of us butt slapped a female reporter, we would be fired!"

On Friday's episode of Atlanta's daytime talk show Sister Circle, co-host Rashan Ali, 2nd from left, argued that Beckham was being discriminated against because he is a star wide receiver.

Her co-hosts (L-R): Egypt Sherrod, Quad Webb and Trina Braxton agreed that a man touching another man's buttocks without consent is not a crime.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver slapped the male cop on his butt, resulting in an arrest warrant for simple sexual battery.

Police say the gender of the victim should not matter when determining if sexual battery has occurred.

The incident took place in the locker room after LSU won the National Championship at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Louisiana on Monday night.

Cell phone video shows Beckham staring intently at the officer's buttocks before delivering the butt slap.

The New Orleans Police Department issued the arrest warrant against the star receiver for inappropriately touching the heterosexual officer.

Beckham's criminal charge comes a month after Thomas Galloway, 43, was arrested for slapping a female reporter on the butt during a live TV news broadcast.

The Louisiana native also made headlines when he appeared to hand out cash to LSU players on the sideline during the game.

NCAA rules prohibit student-athletes from accepting cash or goods from sports agents or college alumni. Beckham was a standout wide receiver at LSU. His father, Odell Beckham Sr., was a running back at LSU in the 1990s.

Beckham, 27, has battled homosexual rumors since being drafted in the 1st round by the NY Giants in 2014.

Rumor has it that Carey is demanding a $50 million "inconvenience fee" for moving out to L.A. so Packer could be near his children.
