Halle Berry’s Fiance’: “My Son Will Be An American”
The first child of American actress Halle Berry and French actor Olivier Martinez will be born in the USA.
“My son will remain an American, but I will remain French,” said Martinez, who divides his time between Halle’s home in the U.S. and his home in France, told People in Paris at the Champs-Elysées Film Festival.
“I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture,” Martinez added. “I feel good there — but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”
Halle flew to France with her fiancé last week. She petitioned the court to allow her to move her daughter Nahla Aubry to France, but Nahla’s father, Gabriel Aubry successfully opposed the petition.

Halle’s baby daddy, French actor Olivier Martinez, found out the hard way that pregnant women with raging hormones are not to be messed with.
The drama began when Halle, 46, and Olivier, 47, chatted with friends after grabbing lunch at Geoffreys in Malibu, California on Saturday, May 19.
As the ladies talked, Olivier innocently reached over and touched one of the women’s hair.

Halle Berry dismissed rumors that she was trying to get pregnant to keep her man. The 46-year-old actress told CNN that her pregnancy came as a big surprise to her and expectant father Olivier Martinez, 47.
“I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth,” Berry told CNN. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me,” she said. “So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”
