Attorney Phaedra Parks attends Angela Stanton's deposition

According to Reality TV Scandals blog, reality TV personality and local attorney Phaedra Parks finally sat for her deposition.

If you recall, Parks filed a lawsuit against author Angela Stanton for publishing a book detailing alleging criminal activity on the part of Parks and her known associates. Vibe magazine, which published Stanton's book, ultimately settled with Parks for an amount that was reported to be $2,500.

Parks sat for Stanton's deposition in February. Since then, Parks ducked and dodged Stanton's lawyer's requests to sit for her own deposition in the presence of Stanton.

Apollo Nida after his conviction

Now that the federal case against Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Apollo Nida, 35, has ended in a conviction, the focus is shifting to his alleged co-conspirators -- one of whom may or may not be his wife, local attorney and RHOA star Phaedra Parks.

Apollo was sentenced to 8 years in prison on Wednesday for conspiring to to commit mail, wire and bank fraud in a complex fraud scheme which spanned over four years and harmed over 50 victims.

Apollo will remain free for another 2 months. But he cannot appeal his conviction due to his plea deal.

Apollo Nida Accomplice Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

A federal judge sentenced Apollo Nida's female accomplice to 5 years and 1 month in a federal prison on Wednesday.

The AJC's Rodney Ho reports Nida’s co-conspirator Gayla St. Julien pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, resulting in a 61-month prison sentence.

St. Julien, 44, and Nida worked together from 2009 until 2013. She did most of the leg work while following Nida's instructions.

James Radford, Jr., the attorney for author Angela Stanton, has asked a Gwinnett County judge to rule in favor of his client in the matter of Phaedra C. Parks vs. Angela Stanton. Radford cites the fact that Parks, an attorney herself, has refused to sit for a deposition to show evidence that Stanton defamed the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member in her book, Lies of a Real Housewife.

Radford is also asking the court to order Parks to pay Stanton's attorney's fees.

The incident happened at a local hotel where Bravo Network's producers suggested that the RHOA cast members participate in a pajama party (who does that?)
