Toddler removed from home

Omaha child protective services removed a toddler from a home after Omaha Police posted a video online showing the 2-year-old cursing and using racial slurs. Police said Wednesday that four children in total were removed from the home as a result of the shocking video.

The video shows a toddler in diapers cursing and using adult sexual language. Male and female adults can be heard in the background verbally abusing the child and encouraging the boy to curse.

The adults verbally assault the baby, calling the boy "pu$$y" and "b*tch."

Eva Casara mother

When a pregnant Chicago teenager was shot in the head and dumped in a snowy alley on Christmas day, police believed she was the victim of a botched robbery attempt.

17-year-old Eva Casara was 26 weeks pregnant when she died on Dec. 26. Doctors delivered her baby girl who is in critical condition in a neonatal intensive care unit.

Twerking burglar

Police have arrested a man who burglarized a Clinton Hill, Brooklyn apartment building while his female accomplice 'twerked' outside. Akintunde Mills, 47, was arrested Friday after the surveillance video was released to the public. Police say the woman was 'twerking' to serve as a distraction while her partner-in-crime was inside stealing FedEx packages. A resident later reported packages missing after the Dec. 4 incident. Police say the pair stole $200 worth of clothing.

Rapper Lil Wayne's ex-wife Antonia "Toya" Wright was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after her car was pulled over by cops, Splash News reports. Police detained the 30-year-old, who has a daughter with the hip hop star and also starred in reality TV show 'Tiny and Toya' with her bestie, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, after police discovered there was a warrant for her arrest for missing a recent court date. It was not clear what that previous court date was for. She was released on bail the Wednesday morning after posing for this mugshot.

Cop shooting at minivan

The New Mexico State police officer who shot at a minivan full of children was fired from his job, ABC News reports.

Former Officer Elias Montoya's lawyer says his client plans to appeal the termination.

Montoya has 30 days to appeal his firing to the Public Safety Advisory Commission, which is made up of civilians appointed by the governor, according to FOX News.

NYPD Stop-and-kiss program

A new NYPD program is stirring more controversy than the policy that it was designed to replace. The New York Police Department's "Stop-and-Kiss" program is an effort to tamp down the complaints of the NYPD's controversial Stop-and-frisk program that critics say targets black and Hispanic men.

Critics are calling the NYPD's Stop-and-Kiss program a violation of privacy. Thousands took to the streets earlier this week to protest the new program. The new policy allows officers to kiss anyone who they believe looks suspicious.

New Yorkers who complain that they have been stopped and kissed say the new policy is even more intrusive than the Stop-and-frisk policy.

Michelle Rowling and Montrell Cooper

An East St. Louis woman warned her Facebook friends that she might be killed just days before she was found stabbed to death in her apartment on Saturday night.

"If anything happens to me tonight just let my kids know I loved them dearly and tell my momma I love her," Michelle Rowling posted on her Facebook page on November 25th.

On Saturday night, police were called to investigate a disturbance at Rowling's apartment complex. Police found the 25-year-old bleeding out on the floor of her apartment.

Police arrested her ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old Montrell Cooper, according to St. Clair County State's Attorney Brendan Kelly.

Police Take White Teen Away From Black Legal Guardians

The mother of a white teen who was taken away from her black legal guardians by Houston police officers is questioning the actions of the police.

13-year-old Landry Thompson, from Oklahoma, was in the care of her two legal guardians, who are black, when she was snatched by police after the trio arrived in Houston for dance training.

Dance instructor Emmanuel Hurd, his boyfriend, Josiah Kelly, and Landry were tired after a long day at the dance studio. The trio stopped at a gas station to get directions back to their hotel. After dozing off in the car, they awoke to find the car surrounded by police.

Adrian Briskey A woman shot and killed a fellow college football fan because she and others weren't upset over the Alabama Crimson Tide's loss to Auburn in the Iron Bowl football game last weekend.

Adrian Briskey, 28, was arrested on Monday and charged in the shooting death of 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd on Saturday, Nov. 30.

#1 ranked Alabama was handed their first loss of the season when Auburn ran back a missed Crimson Tide field goal for a touchdown to win the game 34-28 with no time left on the clock.

The stunning loss dropped Alabama to #4 in the polls and lifted Auburn to #3.

Adele Bing

A Florida woman was arrested and charged with killing her daughter after mistaking the 25-year-old woman for her boyfriend.

Adele Bing, 52, was charged with second degree murder in the death of Ruby Bing, who was shot at her mother's front door, WFTV.com reports.

Adele Bing was also charged with child endangerment. Ruby Bing was holding her 4-month-old baby when she was shot after she knocked on her mother's door. The baby was not injured.

A Connecticut high school football captain is behind bars, charged with stabbing his male lover to death.

Bloomfield High School student Tarence Mitchell, 18, stabbed his boyfriend Ronald Taylor Jr., 27, five times with a steak knife after Mitchell decided to break off their relationship.

Fox News reports Taylor arrived at Mitchell's residence and struck him in the face before the stabbing commenced. But Mitchell initially lied to police and said they were attacked by two men wearing hoodies -- a deliberate attempt to portray the domestic violence incident as a hate crime.

Gossip blog TMZ.com reports that troubled singer Chris Brown was asked to leave a rehab facility after he flew into a violent rage during an anger management class. Brown is due back in an LA courtroom today for a hearing to update the judge on the progress of his probation stemming from his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The judge will review the latest criminal charge against Brown for assaulting a fan in WAshington, D.C. The judge will determine if Brown;'s probation will be revoked and if Brown will serve his 4-year prison sentence behind bars.

Two teenagers have been arrested in the death of V’ondra Olivaria who was shot Saturday night in her Clayton County home, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Olivaria's mother told the AJC a teenage boy politely shook her hand when he and a friend came to her house to visit her daughters Saturday night.

Within minutes, she said, that same teenager shot and killed her 16-year-old daughter.

“My baby was in her room thinking she was safe from the harmful stuff outside,” Yolanda Rincon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday. “But the devil let loose in this house.”

President Obama Sen Creigh Deeds

Virginia state Senator Creigh Deeds, right, is in critical condition after his son reportedly stabbed him and then shot himself in their home.

Deeds, who ran unsuccessfully for governor of Virginia in 2009, was stabbed multiple times, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

The Richmond Times reports Deeds' 24-year-old son, Gus, is dead from a single gunshot wound.

Seminole County police have arrested Stand Your Ground poster boy George Zimmerman and charged him with domestic assault. According to The Sun Sentinel, Zimmerman was taken into custody and transported to jail earlier today.

Zimmerman was acquitted of shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin earlier this year. He has had several run-ins with police since his acquittal.

The reward for information leading to the capture of an Atlanta cop shooter has increased to $10,000, thanks to a hefty donation from reality show couple Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas.

Thomas, who stars in Real Housewives of Atlanta, said he donated $5,000 to the fund for information about the cop shooter because he wanted to challenge fellow business owners to donate.

“This is a challenge to business owners,” said Thomas, who owns Bar One Tapas Lounge on Memorial Drive, not far from where Atlanta Police Officer Christopher L. Smith was shot on Saturday. “They should match my $5,000 to get this cop killer off the street."

A Louisiana kidnapping victim is safe at home after her family members rescued her and killed her captor.

Scott Thomas Police say Scott Thomas, 29, of Leonville, abducted his former girlfriend, Bethany Arceneaux, 29, from a daycare center where she arrived to drop off their son on Wednesday, FOX News reports.

Police say Arceneaux exited her vehicle and was confronted by Thomas who forced her into his car and drove away, leaving their 2-year-old son behind.

Derrimetria Robinson told USA Today she was standing in the doorway of her home around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday when she saw a woman, Arceneaux, drive by honking her car horn.

She said she saw the driver park at the daycare center and run to the back passenger door of her car.

A Michigan man who faces possible murder charges in the shooting death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride now claims the shooting was accidental.

McBride knocked on the door of a home in Dearborn Heights, Mich., seeking help after she wrecked her car around 2:30 a.m. Her family said her cell phone battery had died.

Instead of assisting the teen, the homeowner stepped out on his porch and shot her in the face with a shotgun. Media reports previously stated McBride was shot in the back of the head as she turned to walk or run.

Man Arrested in Deaths of Missing Family

A second suspect was arrested and charged in the deaths of a Mississippi family whose bodies were found shot to death in an abandoned farmhouse.

USA Today reports Cedric D. Mason, 30, of Jackson, Miss., was arrested by a state highway patrol SWAT team late Wednesday. Mason, who resisted arrest, was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for observation then later transferred to a Copiah County jail.

Mason was charged with two counts of capital murder and two counts of kidnapping in the deaths of Atira Hill, 30, and her 7-year-old son, Jaidon.

A female undercover officer in Arizona was relieved of duty after she began a sexual relationship with a drug dealer she was supposed to be tailing.

Jessica Dever-Jakusz was working undercover on a drug case in Tempe, AZ in June when she apparently fell for the charming ways of an unidentified ecstasy dealer.

Their illicit relationship continued for another two months until Dever-Jakusz's husband found out about the affair and blew the whistle, ABC 15 reports.

Renisha McBride

A Michigan man may face a murder charge in the shooting death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride.

Dearborn Heights police initially said they found the teen's body "dumped" in a suburban area near Warren and Outer Drive. McBride went missing after her family saw her leave home in her white Ford Taurus on Friday, Nov. 1. The family was not notified of McBride's death until Monday, Nov. 4, according to McBride's aunt Bernita Spinks.

Police now say McBride died on the front porch of a home where she apparently went to seek help after wrecking her car around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Man Arrested in Deaths of Missing Family

A Mississippi man was arrested Tuesday after he led investigators to the bodies of a missing family of 3.

Timothy Lydell Burns, 42, of Jackson, Miss., was charged in the deaths of Atira Hill, 30, her 7-year-old son, Jaidon, and her husband, Laterry Smith, 34.

Burns led police to the 3 bodies inside a dilapidated home in Hermanville, not far from where the family's Dodge SUV was found still smoldering upside down in a ditch.

Details are sketchy, but ABCNews.com reports the victims had been shot to death.

Police are not revealing what (if any) connection Burns had to the family.

Renisha McBride

More details are emerging about the mysterious death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride, who left her Detroit home Friday night and never returned.

Dearborn police had said they found McBride's body "dumped" on the outskirts of Detroit in suburban Dearborn Heights.

Local FOX affiliate WJBK even gave the exact location of where McBride's body was found: near Warren and Outer Drive.

McBride had been shot once in the head with a shotgun and left to die, police told her anguished aunt, Bernita Spinks.

"All our kids are getting killed. We're burying our kids. It's devastating," Spinks told Fox 2. She pleaded with the public to help identify her niece's killer(s). "Just as well as it's my niece and my sister's daughter, it could be your kid," she said.

Now police are telling an entirely different story about what happened to Renisha.

Not Avonte Oquendo

A photo of a boy riding a NY subway train who was thought to be missing 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo has been identified. NYPD officers located the boy in the photo and determined he was not the missing autistic child who vanished after he walked out of his Queens, NY high school on Oct. 4.

“It was not Avonte. This person whose photo it was was in the precinct with his parents," a police spokeswoman told the Daily News.

The photo, taken by an unidentified teenager on Tuesday, lifted hopes that Avonte was alive, but Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said he was "not hopeful" Avonte was still alive. Kelly later apologized to Avonte's enraged family.

Armored Car Robbery

Atlanta police and the FBI suspect that a brazen midday armored car robbery in Atlanta might be an inside job.

The robbery occurred at a BP gas station on Cascade road near 285 shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday. An unarmed man approached the driver as he left the gas station convenience store. After a brief scuffle, the man snatched a bag of money from the driver and fled on foot, Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Robert Bell fugitive in New Orleans

Did you hear the story about the man who wiped out an entire family in Gwinnett County last month?

I didn't either, and I read the AJC every day.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Robert E. Bell, 33, has been on the run since Sept. 15 when he gunned down three members of the same family and injured a fourth person in a home near Snellville, just east of Atlanta.

Among the dead are Angelina Benton, 34, Benton’s 12-year-old son, Joseph McDonald, and her 19-year-old godson, Raynard Daniel.

Bell had been staying with the family for about 2 weeks. He and his victims are black.
