Drugged driver causes pileup on Buford Connector

Channel 2 News reporter Liz Artz and photographer Justin Crate became part of the news when they stumbled upon a pickup truck blocking the right northbound lane on the Buford Connector shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. Video shot by Crate shows the unidentified driver slumped over his steering wheel and drooling.

Artz called 911, and a Georgia Department of Transportation Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) was the first to arrive at the scene. The HERO operator succeeded in awakening the driver from his slumber. The driver then began to tussle with the HERO operator before speeding off in his truck. The driver drove a short distance north on the Buford Connector before crashing into two cars.

Roy Hibbert fined for Using Homophobic Slur

Overhyped Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert was certainly feeling himself during post-game interview after his team whipped the defending NBA champs Miami HEAT 91-77 on Saturday to tie the Eastern Conference series of the NBA playoffs at 3-3.

The 26-year-old former Georgetown standout was fined $75,000 by the NBA for using "inappropriate and vulgar" language during the post-game press conference on Saturday.

During the press conference, Hibbert bristled when reporters questioned why he finished 10th in this year’s Defensive Player of the Year voting.

The University of Miami was the setting for the toughest grilling of President Obama's reelection campaign. The president was questioned on his failed policies, including immigration reform and broken unemployment and education promises.

At one point Mr. Obama seemed to gird his loins, as if preparing for an attack. He squirmed and stammered when he was asked if he really believed a video was responsible for the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.
