Bynes, 27, was hospitalized in July and diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder after she was arrested for setting fire to a neighbor’s driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Bynes was spotted walking 2 dogs near her home. She wore a sweatshirt that read “Gangsta Love,” sunglasses and black leggings.

On Wednesday, Bynes spoke publicly for the first time since being released from rehab. “I am doing very well. I’m doing great, it’s been five days since I got out of rehab,” she said.

When former child star Amanda Bynes was admitted to a psychiatric hospital after setting fire to a neighbor’s driveway, her parents rushed to court to gain control of her money and her life.

But a California judge wisely delayed making a decision on conservatorship until Bynes is well enough to appear in court to speak for herself. The judge also determined that Bynes, 27, and her parents had limited contact with each other before the arson incident.

According to gossip website TMZ, Bynes was given an early diagnosis of “schizophrenic tendencies”.

The woman whose driveway was allegedly set on fire by troubled socialite Amanda Bynes says she hopes the 23-year-old arsonist gets psychiatric help.

Bonnie Braaten, 73, told PEOPLE.com she wasn’t aware of “anyone who would be angry with me enough to set a fire in my driveway.”

Bynes was admitted Tuesday to a mental hospital on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold after she lit a gas canister on fire in the driveway of Braaten’s Thousand Oaks, Calif., home.
