Laverne Cox covers Time magazine

Transsexual Laverne Cox made history when he graced the cover of TIME magazine last month. But the cover featuring the first transgender man did nothing to boost sales. Sales figures for Cox's cover are reportedly among the lowest in TIME magazine's history. The issue itself was thin compared to past issues -- an indication that some big name advertisers may have declined to take out full page ads that week.

Toya Wright and Mickey Wright

Antonia "Toya" Wright and her husband Mickey "MempHitz" Wright have been shopping their reality TV show for over a year now with no luck.

Toya and Mickey have shopped their show titled "Mickey and Toya: The Wright Way" to BET, MTV, FUSE and OXYGEN networks without any offers. MempHitz even dumped his thug nom de guerre in favor of his given name, Mickey, to upgrade his image for national TV audiences.

The reality is that the TV networks are shying away from Toya's new show because neither she nor Mickey have enough star power. In other words, the show would quickly tank in the ratings. Toya's last reality show was cancelled due to poor TV ratings.
