Single mother Kimora Lee Simmons, 38, landed at London’s Heathrow Airport today along with her three kids, Aoki Lee Simmons, 10, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, 4, and Ming Lee Simmons, 13. Kenzo’s father is actor Djimon Hounsou, who dumped Kimora last year. The girls’ father is media mogul Russell Simmons, 55.

Def Jam founder Russell Simmons, 55, was spotted doing stretching exercises on the beach with his model girlfriend Hana Nitsche. Nitsche, age unknown, is the latest 20-something woman that Simmons has squired this year. His previous nubile women were Melissa George and Leila Lopes, who Simmons apparently dumped for Nitsche in October.

A writer for Ebony.com took Russell Simmons to task for his “half-hearted” blog post condemning little known rapper Lil Reese for assaulting a woman. The writer, Sil Lai Abrams, is a relationship expert and a victim of domestic abuse herself. Lil Reese’s violent assault on high school graduate Tiairah Marie was captured on a cell phone video that went viral online.
Reese later apologized for his earlier defiant response to the public outrage — but only after radio programmers and DJs threatened to boycott his music.
Russell Simmons, who was criticized for approving a post on Global Grind written by a black woman defending Reese’s behavior, wrote a tweet indicating he had no editorial control over his own blog.
“I deplore the violence one editor said boycott him the other said team them I said nothing,” Simmons tweeted on Oct. 29. He later deleted his tweet.
Once again, Russell Simmons Defends Violence in Hip Hop
I was waiting for Hip Hop apologist Russell Simmons to defend the latest incidence of senseless violence in Hip Hop, and Russell did not disappoint. Simmons is always quick to defend rappers who commit assault, rape and other offenses. This time he used a woman to do his dirty work for him.
In an editorial published on Simmons’ blog Global Grind, Evanka Williamson defended Chicago rapper Lil Reese’s actions in a viral video that shows him brutally beating a young woman last year. Reese is also under investigation in the shooting death of 16-year-old Chicago rapper Lil Jojo.
It’s worth noting that Lil Reese did not apologize for his violent behavior until radio program directors and DJs threatened to boycott his records.

The Obama’s continued their vacation today as Vice President Joe Biden represented Obama at the funeral of Eunice Kennedy Shriver in Hyannis, MA. Obama will hold another fake town hall meeting on health insurance reform with a bussed-in, pre-screened audience before flying off to visit Yellowstone National Park on Saturday and the Grand Canyon on Sunday.
