Clueless is getting a reboot. The 1995 comedy cult classic about two spoiled, filthy rich, but clueless teenagers, will focus on a grown up Dionne Davenport (played by Stacey Dash).

Interest in the film spiked after Dash was arrested on a domestic violence charge in Florida earlier this month. The charge was eventually dropped. Dash later said the violence was a "normal" part of her married life.

The original Clueless focused on Alicia Silverstone (center) who played the naive Cher. Dash (left) played her equally clueless rich BFF, Dionne. Brittany Murphy (right) played Tai.

According to published reports, the new show will take place in high school after Cher graduated and moved on with her life. The series will be set to the soundtrack of a Lizzo music video.

Silverstone will not reprise her role in the TV show.

The domestic battery case against actress Stacey Dash has been dropped and she will not face charges in court, The Blast reports.

Dash's ordeal began on Sunday night when an argument she had with husband Jeffrey Marty and his three children at their Port St. Richey, Florida home escalated to violence.

Dash, 52, called 911 to report Marty put her in a chokehold, but officers arrested her and charged her with domestic battery against Marty.

The Clueless star cooled her heels in a Pasco County jail for 12 hours. She was released on Monday morning after Marty paid her $500 bond.

After springing Dash from jail, Marty pinned a tweet showing him and Dash kissing. Text superimposed over the photograph shows a biblical phrase from the Old Testament which reads: "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Marty, 44, is Dash's fourth husband.

According to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Dash demanded a speedy trial in three days. She also filed for indigent status, saying she could not afford an attorney.

But now her charge has been dropped and she is a free woman, according to The Blast.

Pasco County Sheriff's Office

The Pasco County Sheriff's Department was forced to admit their error after mislabelling actress Stacey Dash as "white" on their arrest report.

The 'Clueless' star pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge, after she was arrested for allegedly slapping and scratching her husband, attorney Jeffrey Marty at their New Port Richey, Florida home on Sunday.

The actress was bonded out of jail by her husband on Monday morning, Sept. 30.

When filling out the arrest report, a deputy mistakenly labeled Dash - who has a Black father and Mexican mother - as "white" on the booking form.

The unfortunate error resulted in a fierce genetics debate on social media. Black Twitter users, who previously revoked Dash's Black card for being a Trump supporter, were now angry that Dash appeared to abandon the Black community.

As the debate raged on the blogs on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Pasco Sheriff's Department admitted the mistake, explaining:

"Stacey Dash was never asked her race by the arresting deputy, nor did she volunteer any information about her race. The arresting deputy assumed that she was Hispanic.

"However, the Pasco Sheriff's Office follows the Department of Justice Uniform Crime Reporting standards and, according to the DOJ reporting requirements the only allowable races are: Asian/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Unknown, or White."

Hispanic and Mexican are not races. But the sheriff's representative added that reports do list a Hispanic option if a deputy fills out the booking form by hand. The option is not available on digital (online) copies, so her race will likely not be updated.

Deputies also mistook the star's middle name for her surname, incorrectly calling her Stacey Dash Lauretta. This led to speculation that the booking sheet was Photoshopped.

Dash has been given access to a public defender because she applied for indigent status and can't afford a lawyer.

Dash has fallen on hard times since she was fired as a political pundit on Fox News in 2017.

Stacey Dash said she was Caucasian during the booking process following her arrest for domestic battery on her husband in Pasco County, Florida on Sunday.

Dash was arrested and charged after fighting with her husband, Jeffrey Marty, a 44-year-old attorney, and his 15-year-old daughter.

Dash entered a written plea of not guilty. She was bonded out of jail by her husband on Monday, Sept. 30.

The 52-year-old actress, who is mixed race, correctly identified herself as Caucasian during the booking process.

Dash, pictured with a friend on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California, was raised in a white environment. She doesn't share in the Black experience and she has never claimed to be Black.

But Black Twitter has a problem with mixed race people who don't identify as Black.

One Twitter user wrote: "I trade Stacey Dash for Rachel Dolezal. This heifer is trash. #WhiteStacey".

Another user tweeted: "Stacey comes from a Bajan, Mexican, Black background. Now you understand why I am always skeptical about these people with dual allegiances trying to speak for Foundational Black Americans."

The attitude of Black Twitter seems out of touch with reality at a time when mixed race people are embracing their individuality.

There is even a new show, Mixed-ish, a spinoff of Black-ish, starring Tracee Ellis Ross, who is mixed race.

Stacey Dash has fallen on hard times since she was fired from Fox TV as a political analyst in 2017. With few acting gigs for middle aged actresses, Dash has burned through her savings and is financially dependent on her husband, Jeffrey Marty.

On Sunday, the Clueless star was arrested for assaulting her breadwinner husband. She has filed for indigent status and is asking for a public defender to represent her in court.

According to TMZ, a Florida judge signed off on the request for a public defender after asking Dash to provide proof of her income.

In audio of a 911 call to the Pasco County Sheriff, Dash said that her husband and his three minor children conspired to have her arrested.

The 52-year-old actress was charged with domestic battery for scratching and slapping Marty's face during an argument at their Pasco County condominium on Sunday.

Dash said she, Marty and his children - ages 15, 14 and 10 - were all arguing when she pushed his 15-year-old daughter. She accused Marty, who is a lawyer, of putting her in a chokehold.

She said he advised his three children to lie to the police about the incident.

Marty, 44, can be heard in the background yelling, "I can't believe you did this."

When police arrived on the scene, Dash was arrested and booked into the county jail. She has since been released on $500 bond.

Stacey Dash tried to impress a cop who showed up at her Florida condominium to arrest her following a domestic dispute with her husband, Jeffrey Marty, on Sunday night.

According to a police report, Dash, 52, slapped and scratched Marty's face during an argument that escalated out of control. But her manager said Dash was acting in self-defense after Marty choked her out.

The actress was arrested and charged with domestic battery. The Pasco County Sheriff's deputies wear body cams. So it wasn't long before cam footage of Dash's arrest surfaced online.

After asking, "Am I being arrested?", Dash starts to cry while being escorted to a squad car. The arresting officer asked the Bronx native where she was born and what she did for a living.

Dash, who was clad in only a long t-shirt and a pair of panties, replied that she was an actress.

"Like TV or...?"

"Both. TV and film. I did a film called Clueless," Dash said. But the cop apparently never heard of it.

"I was a Fox News contributor," Dash added. To which the cop replied, "Oh, okay."

Dash is best known for her role as Dionne Marie Davenport in the 1995 comedy film Clueless, also starring Alicia Silverstone.

She is universally hated in the Black community for her staunch support of U.S. President Donald Trump.
