Coko and Mike Clemmons

SWV lead singer Cheryl “Coko” Clemmons, nee Gamble, has split from her husband of 15 years “Big Mike” Clemmons. Coko, 47, announced her divorce on her personal blog Hotcoko.com on Sunday.

“We always thought we’d be together forever!” She wrote in a post titled “After the Love Is Gone“.

Rapper Diamond shootng a video in Brooklyn

Rapper Diamond is back. The 25-year-old Atlanta native was seen strutting her stuff on the set of her music video in Brooklyn, NY today. Diamond burst onto the rap scene in 2004 as a member of Crime Mob. The group’s hits included “Knuck If You Buck” and “Rock Yo Hips”. Diamond left Crime Mob in 2007 to pursue a solo career. She has been struggling ever since.

Kelly Rowland and Monica Brown

R&B Divas Monica Brown, Kelly Rowland, SWV and KeKe Wyatt have joined forces to promote the ‘Yell Confidence’ public service announcement and campaign.

According to Singersroom.com, rappers Mc Lyte, Trina and Spinderella are also putting together PSA’s to support the campaign to benefit the Saving Our Daughters initiative. Celebrity photographer Derek Blanks worked with Rowland to hone her portion of the PSA.

The Yell Confidence campaign brings awareness to domestic violence in the black community.

The 2012 Soul Train Awards paid homage to the currents stars and the legends of Soul Thursday night in Las Vegas. Tamar Braxton and her chewed up weave hosted the red carpet as everyone from Faith Evans, Bobby Brown, Karyn White, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia Barrino, SWV, and more, graced the red carpet at the BET Soul Train Awards 2012 at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino. The SOul Train Awards airs November 25th.
