50 Cent

You ‘Power’ fans will be happy to know that your favorite TV show is in production. Embattled rap mogul 50 Cent, creator of the STARZ original scripted TV series was spotted filming on location in New York on Wednesday. 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, filed for bankruptcy last year after losing 2 multimillion dollar lawsuits. During a recent “debtor’s examination” hearing, Jackson presented documents that shows he earns only $29,000 a month in recording royalties. The documents shows his business expenditures and personal expenses are higher than $29,000 a month.

The Dream IV Play flops

The Dream’s 5th studio album, IV Play, is a resounding failure, no thanks to you fickle fans who failed to run out and buy it.

Blac Chyna

Tyga’s baby mama, Chyna was seen strolling in Hollywood with a big smile on her face. It seems the monthly rumors that the former stripper kicked her cheating rapper boyfriend out of their home aren’t true. I wish I could tell you what I heard about Tyga and a certain dancer-turned-beard. But I was told the tea would be very difficult to clean up once it’s spilt. They say he isn’t the only rapper who partakes of this person’s discreet services.

Keyshia Cole Blackballed by Beyonce

The last person who dissed the almighty Beyonce was singer/songwriter Keri Hilson. Soon afterwards, Hilson’s career sank like the Titanic. Hilson found herself blackballed throughout the industry when music producers loyal to Beyonce refused to work with her.

Now it appears that R&B Diva Keyshia Cole will meet the same fate as Hilson.

Update: Keyshia responds:

Earlier I wrote that singer/songwriter The Dream was named Executive Vice President of Def Jam replacing Chris Hicks who took over the job from the late Shakir Stewart. That was incorrect, according to The Dream.

About an hour ago, he tweeted this message on his Twitter account:

I did not replace him At DEF JAM he’s the EVP of DEF JAM RECORDS and I AM EVP of ISLAND RECORDS…. To all being negative is out of style!

Singer/songwriter The Dream has been named Executive Vice President at Island Records, according to a message he posted on his Twitter account earlier today. The Dream will oversee development of new talent at the label.

The Dream thanked everyone at Island Records and his girlfriend Christina Milian, who is now completely brunette and almost forgotten. He wrote: “I look forward to the challenge of rebuilding music for not only Island Rec. But for Universal Records as a whole. Today I’m humbled and blessed.”

He earlier promised to call it quits when his next album “Love King” is released. Hopefully, Island Record’s artists won’t adopt the singer’s signature sound. All of The Dream’s tracks sound exactly the same, which can get monotonous.
