Jay-Z and Beyonce cheer on the Brooklyn Nets for game six of the NBA Playoffs

Rapper Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce sat court side during last night's Eastern Conference Playoffs game between the Toronto Raptors and Jay Z's Brooklyn Nets. The Nets easily defeated the Raptors to force a game 7 in Toronto on Sunday. Jay and Bey sat next to the Nets bench at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, while rapper Drake sat on the other side of the scorer's table next to the Raptors bench. Drake is the Raptors paid mascot.

Emo rapper Aubrey Drake Graham is set to host the 2014 ESPY Awards. The 27-year-old Canadian rapper is known to have an affinity for hard leg professional athletes. Although sports purists are complaining bitterly about Drake's ESPY hosting duties, his credentials as a team mascot "global ambassador" for the Toronto Raptors NBA franchise uniquely qualifies him to handle the ESPYs gig.

Rapper Drake has a new job with the NBA Raptors

Rapper Drake was rudely turned away at the locker room door when he attempted to join the victorious Miami Heat celebrations following the 2013 NBA Finals. That won't happen at the 2016 NBA Finals thanks to the Toronto Raptors who tapped the Canadian native to serve as their team ambassador.

Toronto has been selected to host NBA All-Star game in 2016.

Drake's latest album Nothing Was the Same sold 658,179 copies in first week sales, giving Drake his 3rd #1 album.

Jay Z and Beyonce

Beyonce and Jay Z attended the 1st game of the Brooklyn Nets 1st season at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday. The former NJ Nets defeated the Toronto Raptors 107-100 in the team's season opener. Jay Z is the minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets -- meaning the Barclays Center janitor probably owns more of the Nets than Jay Z does.
