Austin officials are "disturbed" by a video that shows an unarmed Hispanic man fatally shot by police while he attempted to flee in his car.

The incident occurred on Friday in Austin, Texas.

In cell phone video of the incident, Mike Ramos, 42, is seen standing next to a white car with his hands up while surrounded by armed police officers. Ramos refused an officer's order to walk towards them. "I don't got no f*cking gun, dawg," Ramos said.

Ramos jumped into the car when an officer fired a bean bag at him. Other officers opened fire when Ramos attempted to drive away. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Austin Mayor Steve Adler was disturbed by what he saw in the video.

"Mike Ramos does not appear to threaten but ends up dead," said Adler. "There's got to be a better way. I'm very disturbed."

He continued: "The use of force is the most potent and irreversible of a police officer's tools and requires trust between officers and the communities they protect."

Adler said the incident would be investigated transparently and information made available to the public.

A Hispanic community group called for Austin Police Chief Brian Manley's resignation.

Chicago police busted up a house party attended by 1,000 people amid the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday night.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker slammed the partygoers for violating his orders. "You are literally putting everyone around you in danger -- you are!"

Cell phone video shows partygoers packed into a small space in the Chi while ignoring social distancing precautions.

No one was arrested at the gathering, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Some of the partygoers wore masks while the majority were bare faced. The 23-minute video footage was posted on Facebook by Chicago resident Tink Purcell.

She was heard saying, "You can't even move in this b*tch!"

Mayor Lori Lightfoot slammed the partygoers as "reckless and utterly unacceptable."

"I have seen the video which shows what appears to be a house party taking place inside a Chicago residence," she wrote.

"While most Chicagoans are doing their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19, reckless actions like these threaten our public health and risk erasing the progress we have made."

Lightfoot threatened to arrest the party organizers for violating her stay-at-home order.

"We will hold those responsible accountable," she fumed.

"The fewer people who comply with the 'Stay At Home' Order, the sicker our residents will get and the harder it will be for us to recover," she wrote.

But two California doctors say the data doesn't support all the fear mongering.

Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi say quarantines are causing more harm than good amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The doctors say quarantines are no longer necessary because the coronavirus is statistically no different from the flu.

Herd immunity, also called population immunity or community immunity, protects against infectious diseases that occur when a large percentage of the population has become immune to an infection, whether through previous vaccinations or through regular exposure to viruses and bacteria.

The physicians say herd immunity can't form if the majority of healthy people stay indoors. Herd immunity also increases good bacteria that helps us fight off infections.

Democratic governors and mayors have been resistant to easing restrictions - at least until after the November elections.

House Democrats are pressuring Trump to add funding for mail-in and absentee ballots into a stimulus package so all Americans can mail in their votes.

Social media is buzzing over video of CeeDee Lamb reacting to his girlfriend touching his cell phone during the 2020 NFL draft.

For the first time, the NFL draft was held remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A nervous CeeDee is seen sitting on a sofa between his mother and his girlfriend as he awaits the phone call that will change his life.

As the minutes tick by, the Oklahoma Sooners star was anxious that he hadn't been drafted by a team.

CeeDee was expected to go early in the first round. Both CeeDee and the Cowboys were surprised to see he was still on the board.

The star wide receiver was so nervous when his phone didn't ring that he nearly yanked his girlfriend's arm off when she reached over to check if his phone battery had died.

It wasn't just his aggressiveness when he snatched the phone, but the way he cut his eyes at her for having the audacity to touch his phone. The debates were so fierce online that CeeDee defended his woman in a tweet:

Below is another angle that shows his mother's reaction to CeeDee displaying his true colors on national television.

CBS News issued a “clarification" after promoting a tweet about an ICU nurse who claimed she quit her job because she and other nurses weren't provided with face masks.

Imaris Vera earlier this week posted a video tearfully explaining she quit her job at a hospital after she wasn't provided a mask to wear outside patients' rooms.

CBS promoted Vera's video in a tweet that garnered nearly 55,000 likes and 25,000 retweets.

But, after Senator Bernie Sanders retweeted CBS's story about Vera, she posted a reply to Sanders acknowledging she had indeed been provided with a mask.

"We were each assigned 1 N95 mask around the Nurses station or Halls. Which I came prepared with," she tweeted on Tuesday.

CBS tweeted: "The hospital, Northwestern Medicine, acknowledged that Imaris Vera had quit her job, but referred CBS News to Vera as to the details why."

In a Facebook post on March 26, Vera admitted she suffers from anxiety and bi-polar depression and was "feeling a heavy toll with transitioning back into the ICU" after being out of work for one year.

Vera quit after working just one day on the job.

Sean 'Puffy' Combs is among those who believe the Wuhan coronavirus is a sign from God that the end is near.

The Bible speaks of signs of the coming Rapture: famine, plagues, pestilence, grasshoppers and locusts. These biblical signs let believers know that it is time to prepare.

The 50-year-old born again music mogul is so distressed by the pestilence and plague, that his hair turned grey.

In a desperate bid to save all sinners and nonbelievers from the ultimate punishment, Combs sat in a room surrounded by crystals and sage and prayed to God to save all sinners for they know what they do.

"Forgive us God and bless us through this situation. Bless our healthcare workers in the front lines. Bless our elderly. Bless people all over the world. It's not just a wherever you at thing; it’s happening all over the world. Bless everybody and please forgive us because when you forgive us then you would have sent the cure or it would have been through Your way and we would have learned… we would have learned a lesson, so God please come to the rescue. Amen."

A Missouri man was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat after he recorded himself licking personal hygiene items on a shelf in a Walmart store.

Cody Lee Pfister, 26, posted a video of himself licking a row of deodorants at the Warrenton Walmart on March 11. "Who's scared of coronavirus?" he asked as he licked the items.

Pfister was identified by outraged citizens and arrested on Monday, March 23.

The Warrenton Police Department announced the arrest on its Facebook page, saying police received calls from concerned local residents, as well as foreigners in the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom to report the video.

"We take this incident very seriously, especially with this infectious disease and the state that the country is in," Lt. Justin Unger told NBC News. "We take these things seriously to protect our community."

Pfister's attorney, Patrick J. Coyne, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that his client's behavior was "immature" and "impulsive" and he shouldn't be treated like a criminal.

That "public conduct that was immature on March 10 looks completely different through the lens of today," Coyne said. "Everything has changed at warp sped, but that should not work retroactively and convert a tasteless and impulsive act into a criminal terrorist threat."

Pfister is being held in jail without bail. He appeared in court Wednesday and his next hearing is set for May.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said one of its deputies did not plant drugs on a Black suspect after a viral video sparked outrage on social media this week.

The video allegedly showed a sheriff's deputy planting evidence on a suspect during an arrest in Bridge City on Monday, March 16.

The video went viral after rapper Tip "T.I." Harris posted the clip on his Instagram page and told his 12 million followers:

"The Jefferson Parish PD planting crack on this Man... You should all be ashamed of yourselves, fired,& indicted!!! Listen to the pig at the end talking about "Your Phone Is Evidence!!!" Yeah you right... the evidence we need against YOU!!! Fuckin Dork!!!"

The video was viewed over 3 million times, leading to calls of police misconduct and threats of rioting.

But after an internal investigation, the JPSO determined the white baggie was indeed taken from the suspect's pocket, according to Nola.com.

During a press conference on Tuesday night, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said his department found no wrongdoing.

"The drugs that were on the scene were previously confiscated from the suspect's pocket before that video started to play," Lopinto said.

Lopinto thanked the suspect, Dominique Griffin, 26, of Bridge City, who admitted he was in possession of the drugs, which tested positive for crystal methamphetamine.

Griffin told investigators the deputy did not plant the baggie on him, according to Lopinto.

"He understands the gravity of the situation with the accusations that were being made," Lopinto said of Griffin.

Griffin was booked on two counts of drug possession.

DaBaby vigorously denies slapping multiple women at a nightclub in Tampa, Florida last weekend.

The law firm representing the alleged victim, Tyronesha Laws, claims she is the woman he slapped, but DaBaby's lawyer says "multiple victims" called the law office claiming to be the woman the rapper slapped.

As cell phone footage shows, DaBaby viciously slapped a woman who accidentally touched his face with her cell phone at the Whiskey North nightclub in Tampa, where the rapper was scheduled to perform last weekend.

Trouble is, the rapper admits slapping "someone," but he says too many alleged victims are coming out of the woodwork.

DaBaby's attorney, Drew Findling, tells TMZ, enhanced video shows DaBaby slapping a woman who struck his left eye with what appears to be a phone with the flashlight on -- NOT the person standing to the left or the right of the individual shoving the phone in his face.

Tyronesha told TMZ she was standing next to a young lady who reached out with a cell phone -- flashlight activated -- toward DaBaby right before he allegedly smacked her in the face.

Cell phone footage shows the troubled 28-year-old rapper slapping the person holding the phone -- but that person has not come forward.

Findling says his law firm has been contacted by multiple women claiming to be the victim, but they haven't been able to verify her identity.

DaBaby already apologized to the woman he struck, saying he thought he was hitting a guy in a wig and couldn't tell the difference because he was blinded by the light in his face.

After the slapping incident, DaBaby was booed off the stage and the show was immediately canceled by club promoters.

A viral video shows Biden getting into a heated confrontation with an auto worker while touring the Fiat Chrysler plant in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday, March 10.

When the worker asked Biden to clarify whether he would take away union worker's guns, Biden told the man, "You're full of sh*t!"

Seeing that the confrontation would not end well for Biden, a female campaign aide tried to move him along. But Biden put his hand in her face and told the woman of color, "SHUSH! shush!"

Clearly his aide is used to being shushed and put in her place by her boss, who is showing signs of dementia.

One can only imagine the indignation and outrage coming from the left if President Trump told a woman to shush. Some in the mainstream media even suggested Biden, 77, was correct to silence his subordinate while he's talking.

The incident occurred hours before Biden pulled off major primary wins over Bernie Sanders in Missouri, Michigan and Mississippi on Tuesday night.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms again endorsed Biden, during a speech at a church in DeKalb County, Georgia on Sunday night.

Rapper DaBaby was booed off stage after he viciously slapped a female fan who accidentally touched his face with her cell phone.

The violent incident happened at the Whiskey North nightclub in Tampa, where the rapper was scheduled to perform over the weekend.

His show was immediately canceled by club promoters, who kept the other half of his appearance fee, according to reports.

Tyronesha Laws was recording DaBaby's arrival to the club when she inadvertently touched his face with her phone. Police were called to the scene, but no charges were filed.

DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, hauled off and slapped Laws, sending her cell phone flying into the crowd.

The Law firm of Morgan & Morgan, which is representing the victim, contacted gossip blog TMZ to confirm they are representing Laws in a possible lawsuit against the rapper and the club.

DaBaby offered a half-hearted apology in a video on his Instagram stories after he was booed off the stage.

DaBaby claimed he was blinded by the light from the phone and he couldn't see whether the fan was male or female. He offered to pay the fan $10,000 and to fly her anywhere to apologize to her in person.

"I do apologize that there was a female on the other end... keep in mind, I couldn't see you because you got the flash this close to me... I wish you could have respected me."

DaBaby, 28, was arrested in Miami in January for assaulting a concert promoter. He was released on bond when authorities discovered he had an outstanding warrant for assault in Texas.

He also assaulted a hotel worker and he was previously arrested for killing a 19-year-old man during an altercation in a Huntersville, North Carolina Walmart. The charges were dropped in March 2019 after he said he acted in self-defense.

Police have 5 suspects in custody after a gang of nearly 20 boys savagely stomped and kicked a 15-year-old girl in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY on Thursday.

Shocking surveillance video shows the teen girl curled up in a fetal position on the ground while a pack of teens swarm her and begin stomping and kicking her.

The girl was rushed to a hospital, where she was treated for minor facial injuries and released.

Police are questioning the 5 boys who range in age from 14 to 16.

The violent assault was initially reported as a robbery. The victim allegedly lied when she told police the motive for the attack was robbery. The boys allegedly stole her cell phone and debit card.

One boy is seen in the video removing the girl's Air Jordan sneakers before fleeing.

The suspects, who turned themselves in on Friday, told investigators the brutal beat down was in retaliation for an earlier assault on a pregnant 14-year-old girl.

The 15-year-old girl and a cousin allegedly jumped the pregnant teenager earlier that day at school. The motive for the fight was not clear, but sources say the 14-year-old girl was impregnated by the victim's boyfriend, who is also 14.

Two of the boys seen attacking the 15-year-old in the video footage are brothers of the 14-year-old girl.

Police said the victim knew all of the boys involved in the beating. Their names and ages were not released and no charges have been filed, according to the NY Post.

A case of Driving While Black has social media up in arms, after a cop interrogated a driver, then gave him a warning ticket for driving 5 miles under the posted speed limit.

The driver of a rental car wrote about his encounter with a Sampson County police officer last week. The officer cited the man for driving 65 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. The excuse the cop gave was that the motorist was driving suspiciously under the speed limit.

The man said the cop tailed him "for 10 minutes without committing one single traffic violation. No missed signal, no following too closely.”

The driver recorded the incident on his cell phone and uploaded the footage to Facebook.com.

"While it is ever so important to celebrate and uplift our heritage and progress in America with regard to racial disparities, we must always continue to challenge racial injustice, inequalities, and discrimination to show true honor to those that gave tirelessly to the cause both negro and other," he wrote.

The man said he manages several branches for his company, a job that requires him to "make use of these roadways for express transitions both to and from. However I do not feel safe nor comfortable after this obvious misuse of power. Civil servants must remember [their] primary function is to serve and protect, and this officer has clearly lost sight of what that truly is."
