Sharkeisha's Personal Knockout Game

Brutal urban assaults on innocent citizens by inner city thugs continues to make headlines all over the country.

The so-called "knockout game" involves young punks sneaking up on unsuspecting victims and sucker punching them with enough force to knock them out. A successful "knockout" earns the attacker instant street cred and racks up "likes" on social networking websites.

One such attack that was caught on video is unique in that the attacker, Sharkeisha, appears to know her victim.

From TheHollywoodgossip.com:

UPDATE: Sharkeisha's beating victim, Sharmichael Manuel, 17, told KHOU-TV she was astounded when her former friend mauled her in such fashion.

The Houston teenager says the assailant and a group of girls set her up for the fight video, luring her to an apartment complex under false pretenses.

Manuel thought she was picking up some of her belongings. She was wrong.

“I was just in shock. I was like oh my God. Did she really do this? You’re supposed to be my close friend,” Manuel said. “We were talking in school earlier that day."

"She made it seem like there was nothing wrong with her.”

The fight broke out over a boy, Manuel reveals, and after Sharkeisha finished the staggering assault, a neighbor drove the battered teen home.

Manuel was left with black eye and busted lip. She hasn’t returned to school since the assault, in part because she has trouble seeing out of her eye.

“It is hurting and crushing to me,” Manuel said, noting that the physical pain is just the start. “I felt humiliated, embarrassed and hurt at the same time.”

Watch her talk about the ordeal below ...

    twerking video gets girls suspended

This is not what parents send their children to school to study. A disgraceful 'twerking' video got 33 students suspended from Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego after the viral video was brought to the school administration's attention.

Gawker.com reports that some 33 media students -- mostly girls -- were suspended for an array of school violations. The school's zero-tolerance sexual harassment policy prohibits "verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature made by someone from or in the educational setting."

The twerking video was filmed on the school's campus during school hours. 'Twerking' is slang for a dance that involves sexually suggestive gyrating movements of the hips, buttocks and pelvic areas.

    Russell Simmons Lil Reese

A writer for Ebony.com took Russell Simmons to task for his "half-hearted" blog post condemning little known rapper Lil Reese for assaulting a woman. The writer, Sil Lai Abrams, is a relationship expert and a victim of domestic abuse herself. Lil Reese's violent assault on high school graduate Tiairah Marie was captured on a cell phone video that went viral online.

Reese later apologized for his earlier defiant response to the public outrage -- but only after radio programmers and DJs threatened to boycott his music.

Russell Simmons, who was criticized for approving a post on Global Grind written by a black woman defending Reese's behavior, wrote a tweet indicating he had no editorial control over his own blog.

"I deplore the violence one editor said boycott him the other said team them I said nothing," Simmons tweeted on Oct. 29. He later deleted his tweet.
